|| RISING CLANS || -=-=-=-
| PROLOGUE |
The sky was filled with smoke all that could be seen is burning trees and burnt grass. Cats raced past the hot fire trying to avoid being burnt as much as they can. All I can remember is the forest being burnt down from the fire. And the plains which I live in.
“Buzzardpaw! Hurry up!” Skyfall calls to me from closer to the lake. I quickly head towards the lake. I glare around the lake seeing cats from all of the clans standing in the water. I noticed the RiverClan cats swimming around the water towards the shore.
“The fire should go away soon.” Skyfall stands next to me giving her warmth. I stare up at her grayish-blue eyes. She stared away from me……..

| Chapter One | -=-=-=-
The sun shone brightly into the makeshift den. Buzzardpaw slowly got up glancing around trying hard to remember where she was. She padded out of the den staring around at cats moving brambles around to remake the WindClan camp. Buzzardpaw headed towards her mentor Skyfall. The other cats busily path up the bramble wall for protection from other clans. Buzzardpaw races out of the den and runs over to Skyfall.
“I’m ready for my training, Skyfall!” Buzzardpaw bounces around waiting for her to take her out of camp. Instead Skyfall stares out of camp at the forest. Buzzardpaw stares up at Skyfall worried about here. She padded out of camp alone without Skyfall. The odor of fire and smoke was still in the air, but Buzzardpaw didn’t mind. Buzzardpaw looks at the ThunderClan forest seeing it was mostly burnt compared to the other clan’s territories. She thought about her gathering friend Palepaw from ThunderClan.
Buzzardpaw leaped over the river between the two clan territories. She rushed towards their camp trying to track a scent of a ThunderClan patrol anywhere. All Buzzardpaw could smell is the scent of burnt wood and smoke in the air. The fire last night was pretty bad here.. Buzzardpaw thought staring around at the forest full of mostly ash and very few trees that survived the fire.
“Who are you?” A voice spoke from the left of Buzzardpaw. She slowly turned her head to the side to see the tom on the side of her. Buzzardpaw was too frightened to speak to the strange tom. She tried to tell what clan he was but all she smelled was ash.
“I-I’m Buzzardpaw…” Buzzardpaw stared into the toms eyes. The tom’s eyes were a shade of green but she couldn’t tell what shade of green it was. Buzzardpaw examined the tom and recognized the strong muscles. She obviously could tell he was a skilled hunter but not that great of a runner.
“Ah… That WindClan apprentice. I better take you back to your camp.” He said. Buzzardpaw stared at him and watched him pad off towards WindClan territory.
“Hey! What do YOU think you’re doing heading into MY clan’s territory!” She hissed at the strange tom. Buzzardpaw swiped her sheathed paw at the tom. The tom didn’t flinch he just stared down at the small apprentice. Buzzardpaw looked up at him then padded off in the other direction. Heh.. It’ll be my fault if he goes into my clan’s territory… She thought. Buzzardpaw finds the completely burnt down camp and her eyes filled with tears. She saw a few burnt dead bodies on the ground in a few dens that collapsed from the weight of fallen burnt trees.
Buzzardpaw sniffed around for any signs of a makeshift camp made a few days ago or nights. She padded through the mostly burnt forest with mostly ash on the ground replacing where some trees were. Buzzardpaw caught a scent in the mostly ash smelling forest and decided to head towards the ThunderClan like scent. She spots some cats pulling moss in and out of the makeshift camp. Buzzardpaw spotted a few apprentices with their mentors trying to find prey near the rocks. She recognized one of the cats in the group.
“Palepaw!” She rushed towards him. He stared at her with disbelief then decided to rush over. Buzzardpaw looked at him and saw he didn’t look so excited to see her.
“Are you ok? Wait I know….” Buzzardpaw stared around noticing she was in ThunderClan territory instead of her own. Usually they see each other from the border but never speak to each other about anything on each side of the border. Palepaw stared at me still, but then he just stared off looking for prey around there. Buzzardpaw instead stares around distracted by her surroundings.
The birds fly above her searching for some life in the forest but she didn’t pay attention to that instead she turned to Palepaw trying to catch his attention.
“Hey! What are you doing here!” Says a voice from the camp which was quite close to where she was standing. Buzzardpaw looked left and saw the she-cat staring at her. The sleek silver-gray tabby she-cat stared at Buzzardpaw. She looked like she was about to kill Buzzardpaw.
“Sorry, Clearmist…” Buzzardpaw said to the warrior who was trying to take her back to WindClan camp. Palepaw watched me pad off with Clearmist I didn’t seem to notice that Palepaw was staring at me like he didn’t trust me after all the times we played around the border together. We almost seemed like littermates we were so close.
Buzzardpaw barely noticed how much time has passed when she was being taken back to her camp. Clearmist urged her to go faster so she will get back before moonrise. Buzzardpaw rushed forward leaping over the river quickly so Clearmist will stop bugging her. She stared down at the cool water reflecting the blue sky which now had a darker blue purple tint to it with some pink. Buzzardpaw stared at the sky noticing it was almost sunset so she picked up her pace to head back to camp before Skyfall got worried to death and started looking too hard.
It almost seemed like Skyfall was a mother who didn’t pay attention to her kit. The memories of when she was a kit never faded away in her head she couldn’t stop thinking about it… Buzzardpaw’s body felt like water was splashing around her the current dragging her down beneath the water while she quickly gets washed towards the lake. The wind whistled violently while she mewled for help. Buzzardpaw remembered the rain pouring down and the wind violently blowing the river to move quickly. Then she remembered the one who saved her…. Skyfall. The memory fades away as she noticed that she was almost there and was just standing still remembering when she joined WindClan.
