Ten seasons ago, ElementClan was broken into four clans--FireClan, WaterClan, StormClan, and EarthClan. FireClan cats could manipulate and create fire, WaterClan can breathe underwater and control water, StormClan can summon winds and storms, and EarthClan can cause the ground to shake and move. These clans were created when, long ago, the original four clans (ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan) died out. For seasons, there were only rogues in the area, until StarClan, wanting to create new clans but didn't want them to die out again, spoke to four rogues, telling them to gather cats. They did, and StarClan renamed these rogues Fire, Water, Storm, and Earth, giving them and their cats powers to help them survive. They did, until, years later, a massive war broke out that lasted for three moons. StarClan had hoped that the powers would help them, but it instead gave them a weapon to use against each other. When the fighting finally died down, EarthClan emerged victorious, but at the cost of nearly all the cats' lives. The queens, kits, and elders of the clans had all fled during the war, so only a small number of warriors and even fewer apprentices from each clan remained. StarClan gave them once last chance--they would be able to keep their powers, but only if they merged to form one clan. If they fought like this again, their powers would be stripped from them. They agreed, and the EarthClan leader, Boulderstar, became the leader of ElementClan. Instead of StormClan, FireClan, EarthClan, and WaterClan, they were now known as the elementals--Fire elementals, Water elementals, Storm elementals, and Earth elementals. Though they were one clan, they would forever be separated by their powers. They were living peacefully, but for how long?
Windstar is now leader of ElementClan. Though it was leafbare, and with the growing clan they didn't have much prey to spare, they were a powerful clan. With their combined powers, no rogue, fox, or badger has dared to enter their territory. However, there is a hidden threat growing inside of the clan. One of the former EarthClan members who survived the clan claimed to have a dream where Earthstar spoke to him. In this dream, Earthstar said that the Earth elementals were the true rulers of ElementClan, and the other elementals shouldn't even exist. This cat, who had already had hopes of becoming leader, gathered supporters from the other Earth elementals. More and more fights have been occurring within the clan, and more and more Earth elementals are beginning to believe that they should rule ElementClan. So far they haven't acted yet, but tensions are growing. Is ElementClan about to collapse into civil war?
Descriptions EarthClan: Mostly consists of large dark-colored cats that are power-hungry and angry at the way the clan is run. They wish to overthrow Windstar someday, but are patient and smart, waiting for the right moment to strike. FireClan: Mostly consists of orange/red/yellow cats. They are arrogant and mostly hate Earth cats, since FireClan was so close to winning the war. WaterClan: Mostly consists of gray/blue cats. They are quiet and prefer being alone, spending a lot of time in the pond near camp. WindClan: Mostly consists of small light-colored cats. They don't mind being with other elementals, but are nervous and flighty around some cats, especially EarthClan cats.
Rules: 1. Falconstar's rules 2. Please make realistic cats 3. Hybrids are allowed, but keep in mind they aren't very common and don't have all the powers of their parents' elementals 4. Someone can be the EarthClan cat who wants to overthrow Windstar, but keep his personality realistic with the situations (for example, he can't be a shy cat who would rather let others take control). Also, just to clarify, he didn't really have this dream--it was just a product of his imagination The password is your favorite character in Warriors. Just PM me it 5. You can be a rogue or a loner, but you can't have a power unless you are one of the cats who fled from the war, or you can PM me and we can work something out (a rogue/loner with an entirely different power could be interesting) 6. If you want to be deputy, just PM me and I'll choose one as we get farther into the roleplay. Medicine cat/medicine cat apprentice is first come, first served, though none of these can be EarthClan, since it's a part of the plotline that EarthClan has no positions of power 7. You can have up to five cats, but please don't make all five have the same element 8. Have fun!
Windstar is a light gray Storm elemental. She is small and quick, and mostly relies on her power to beat her opponent if there is a fight. She has a strong connection with her power, which is why her parents named her Windstar. Windstar was a shy and nervous warrior during the war and was surprised when StarClan chose her to be Boulderstar's deputy. Since then, she has worked on giving commands and is now a strong leader.
Goldenblaze is a golden-orange tabby fire elemental with yellow-gold eyes. She has a small scar on her left ear. Goldenblaze is a medicine cat, not supposed to be involved with fighting, but she reaaaaaalllly doesn't care at the moment. She hates Earth Elementals, partially because of her father and mostly because they all seem to hate her. She actually refuses to heal their wounds unless Windstar forces her to. She used to be nice and neutral, but EarthClan murdered her mother and her sister and now she really hates them. She actually kind of killed a cat when she refused to heal them. She is arrogant, like most fire elementals, and is fireproof. She often uses fire as a barrier to the medicine cat den and 'locks' herself in there. She has a kind of a hatred of Water Elementals as well as Earth ones, mostly because fire and water don't mix. However, she is very kind to Storm and Fire elementals because Windstar is the leader and Goldenblaze is guessing that she wouldn't be too happy if she hated Storm Elementals. Her mother was a FireClan cat and her father was a EarthClan cat. Her mother was the daughter of FireClan's leader, and her dad was the deputy of EarthClan. A long time ago, as a kind of 'treaty', the FireClan and EarthClan leaders had her mother (Flameheart) and her father (Vinesoul) be mates. They had three kits, two of the Fire elements who were she-cats and one an Earth element who was a tom, but Vinesoul and Flameheart never really loved each other. Vinesoul didn't care about Goldenblaze (Goldenkit at the time) or Blazekit (her sister). He only cared about Treekit, and Treekit actually hated him. One night, Vinesoul tried to kill Goldenkit and Blazekit, but Treekit stopped him at the cost of his life. Vinesoul thought about killing them, but he decided to make Goldenkit's life miserable. He left her alone until the war, when he became Vinestar, and ordered cats to kill Blazepaw and Flameheart, right in front of Goldenpaw. Afterwards, when she was getting her medicine cat name, she requested to be named Goldenblaze, in honor of her sister.
Pondheart is a dusky gray storm elemental with sharp hazel eyes . He is a brave and loyal cat who doesn't believe in power divisions. He doesn't think all Earth elementals are bad cats; just a bit in-over-their-heads and doesn't treat them with any less respect. He wants to be deputy and is very smart. He isn't the best fighter because of his lithe build, but keeps the prey pile in stock. Apprentice: Lightningpaw
Wavecrash is a grey tabby fire/water hybrid with odd-eyes. (One deep blue, one firey red-amber) Wavecrash is a very determined warrior. She is distrustful of every new cat, and dearly loves her father. SHe is not very good at fighting but her words can sting more than any blow, if she wants them too. She is average at hunting. If you gain her trust, she will always protect you. She is the only Water Elemental (currently) who is friends with Goldenblaze. Ever since she was a kit, Wavecrash had been teased for her 'lack' of powers. The other kits would make tiny cracks in the ground, start fires, play underwater tag or blow other kits over. Wavecrash had thought that she was powerless. But one day, a Storm Elemental blew her into the pond, and she sank to the bottom. She thought that she was going to die, but she to a gulp of water and found she could breathe! She swam is circles with glee before resurfacing. When she climbed out she ran to her father, proud. She realized that she couldn't actually control water. Apprentice: Rainpaw (temporarily)
Fernpool is a black earth elemental with green eyes. She is proud of her heritage, but does not agree with the fact that earth elementals should rise above all others. She had heard whispers of a rebellion, but chose to ignore it. However, she does not appreciate the mistrust other elementals have of former EarthClan cats. Just a kit when the war ended, she didn't remember much of the fight, but is quick to defend her former clan, even if she will not stand with them while they rebel.
Sparkfire is a bright orange tabby fire elemental with amber eyes. She is secretly mistrusting of earth elementals, but tries her best not to show it. Fiercely loyal to ElementClan, she is the among the first to volunteer for tasks that other cats would hesistate to join in on. She is a firm believer in justice and silently judges those who have done wrong, but never lets any negativity through her happy exterior. Apprentice: Applepaw
Applepaw is a flame-colored fire elemental with deep green eyes. She is spunky, fiery, and really, really determined. You cannot sidetrack her from doing what she deems, "possible". It isn't possible. That she believes. She has a sister, named Rainpaw. Her mother died; her name was Spikycloud. Her father died before she was born. Mentor: Sparkfire
Rainpaw is a silver-gray water elemental with green eyes. She is consistent, calm, and observant. She is polar opposites with Applepaw, for she is submissive and serious. She wants to become medicine cat apprentice and is sister to Applepaw. Mentor: Wavecrash (for now)
Lightningpaw is a light grey storm elemental with blue eyes. He's not afraid to voice his thoughts and is unpopular among the apprentices (he has been assigned to the elders den several times for talking back to warriors). He wasn't alive during the war, but was raised to trust no one but storm elementals. Because of this, he tries his best to show respect for Windstar, though he secretly hates her for "betraying" StormClan by leading ElementClan Mentor: Pondheart
Halfsight is a Russian water elemental tom with a scar over his right eye, which is missing. His name derives from his missing eye. His other eye is orange, but he was odd-eyed before.
Halfsight is not your typical grumpy elder. He is loved by the vast majority of ElementClan. He is like a father to every cat in the clan, and is the father of Wavecrash. He is as energetic as an apprentice when he needs to be. He was the deputy of WaterClan, and of ElementClan for a time, but he retired. He is very knowledgeable and does not often stay in one place for long. He joins the hunting patrols even though many a cat, especially his kit Wavecrash, try to keep him at camp.
History:
Halfsight was once Riverflight, a very skilled hunter and fighter of WaterClan. He was, however, not very bright. His first response to everything way a fight, but he is much different now. The leader of WaterClan was hesitant to make him deputy, and had a few other choices before him, but they all died. He lost one of his eyes in the war and was renamed Halfsight. He retired after the war and now loves telling stories about old WaterClan, the war, and the beginning of ElementClan.
Metal is a short-haired grey tabby tom with greenish-yellow eyes that could turn to steel at will. He is hard to crack and loves keeping secrets. He passes off rumors of a clan that lives far away, with odd powers like his, and that he came to find another group to live with. He comes from far away, from a different clan, or so he says, and he wants to betray all their secrets. Of course, no one believes him. They all think he's crazy.

Accepted! I think that since us three are so active, we can go ahead and start. I'll make a few more characters and update the allegiances tomorrow after school. I think it would be interesting, at least as a starting out story, to see how Goldenblaze reacts when Windstar plans on making Rainpaw her medicine cat apprentice. Does that sound good?

~Hollyspark~ Yeah, that's fine by me! Let's hope Goldenblaze learns how to cope with it! I guess I'll start!
Goldenblaze: Goldenblaze looked around camp 'Why did StarClan decide to merge us into one clan!?!? Fire, Water, Earth and Storm were never meant to mix!' she thought in frustration. She shook her head and stalked off to the medicine cat den, lit a fire at the entrance and started brooding like normal.
Halfsight: Halfsight looked at the wall of the elder's den. He remembered a time when all the clans could live in peace, and be separate at the same time. But young cats were foolish and greedy, and that was inevitable. He wished that he could change his younger self; he had advised the WaterClan leader to go to war with the other clans. He hoped someone came in to take his mind off his dark thoughts.
Wavecrash: Wavecrash was sitting by the pond in camp thinking about the open deputy position. She knew Pondheart was going to get the role, but she still wanted it to herself. 'I'm being silly. Sure, I can breath underwater, but I am one of the most powerless cats in the clan! I'm not going to be chosen as deputy!' she thought, and sighed.

((Wait, you aren't the only water elemental... Lol, read my cats))
Rainpaw trotted around, looking solemn. She paced anxiously and looked up. Heat bathed her pelt; the sun rising. She began to run to a river. Rainpaw instantly felt calmer and took a step towards it, furrowing her brow and closing her eyes. She let the tide wash up on her paws and could feel waves of water rising up around her. She could feel a tugging force in her gut that kept the water standing, and she groaned under the pressure of the force. Finally, she opened her eyes and the water sloshed back down, the pain in her gut gone. She trotted back to camp, feeling calmer but still in no mood to do more warrior training. She trotted into the medicine cat den, putting on a sick face as always, and used that as an excuse to stay in the medicine cat den.
Applepaw: Applepaw bounced on her paws, feeling flames lick her fur around her. She continued to bounce, her tail flailing in the air. She hummed to herself, but stopped when she saw her sister walk into the medicine cat den, a sick expression plastered to her face. Concerned, the flames around Applepaw died down and she trotted towards her sister. "You okay?" she asked, sniffing her pelt. "You don't smell sick. You never do." Rainpaw sighed. "I feel sick, okay? Now go!" Rainpaw turned away from her, flicking her tail back and forth with annoyance. Applepaw could even feel a spark of alarm come from deep inside Rainpaw-- a rare occurrence in her calm sister. She even would swear she could smell the faintest hint of unease crawl into Rainpaw's belly. Was her sister faking it? She couldn't believe that, no. So she trotted away, muttering, "Okay.."
Pondheart: The dusky gray warrior yawned and flicked some bracken off of his ears. He had slept late. Very late. He just hoped he didn't miss the patrols. He jumped to his paws and ducked under the bracken, leading out of the warrior's den. He looked up at Windstar, yawning. "Did I miss the patrols?" he asked, hoping not. He also thought about the open deputy slot. I can tell Wavecrash wants it, he thought. Windstar will make her deputy, I just know that much. He sighed loudly, then seemed to shrink away, hoping no one had noticed. For StarClan's sake, Pondheart! If Wavecrash becomes deputy, you will be happy for her. You are Clanmates! But he couldn't bring himself not to feel jealous. He wanted that spot just as much as Wavecrash, maybe more. Still, he thought. Wavecrash will make a fine deputy. Just the thought of well-being for his Clan was important to him, so her no longer cared who would become the deputy, so long as he or she would help ElementClan.

Windstar licked her paw, suppressing a mrrrow of laughter. "I'm afraid so," she meowed, amused by the warrior's enthusiasm. "You can go out hunting, though. Take Wavecrash with you; she needs something to do. But before you leave, can you grab Rainpaw for me? I need to talk to her."

"Sure!" mewed Pondheart. He trotted towards the medicine cat den first; where Rainpaw usually was. Sure enough she was there. "Rainpaw, Windstar wants to see you," Pondheart mewed.
Rainpaw: A needle pricked Rainpaw's heart. What if I'm in trouble for neglecting my apprentice duties to hang out in the medicine cat den? She solemnly nodded and pressed out of the den, heart pounding, and bounded towards Windstar. "Y-yes?" she asked, not shyly but nervously. Her pupils were diluted with fear but she still managed to meet her leader's eyes.
Applepaw: Applepaw saw her sister beside her leader. Applepaw's eyes widened. Was she in trouble? to get her mind off of Rainpaw, she crept into the apprentice's den to sleep.
Pondheart: He trotted to the small pond in camp and flicked his tail to Wavecrash. "Wavecrash! Windstar wants us hunting!" he yowled out to her, excitement building in his tone. He couldn't wait to bite into the flesh of some nice, juicy prey!

Windstar narrowed her eyes. She had always been fond of the quiet apprentice, but she knew she had to take authority. "Wavecrash (oh yeah, forgot to mention, check the allegiances since I put who was who's mentor. Wavecrash is Rainpaw's mentor right now) reports that you've been slacking off lately. I know you're a smart, willing apprentice, but right now Wavecrash isn't feeling like she has your full attention a lot of the time. I know she can't teach you everything about being a water elemental, but she's trained apprentices before. It's not...it's not that she's part fire elemental, is it?" Windstar added hesitantly. She didn't think that Rainpaw was prejudiced, but more than a few cats have given her trouble about this before.
