The best? The Sellswords trilogy, 14-16, about Jarlaxle and another major character that you haven't met yet. Unfortunately Promise of the Witch King has too much action in it (and I REALLY don't like how RAS writes his action scenes) but overall I'd say it's like a 4/5
The worst? Probably the Hunter's Blades trilogy, 17-19. Starting with The Thousand Orcs. I learned very early on that I have very little tolerance for Drizzt Going Through It.
I just..... don't like Drizzt Do'urden
I also don't like Starlight Enclave, the newest book that came out last summer. I think it ruined a lot of previously established characterization.

A series having bad or inconsistent characterization I think is the biggest grievance for me rip
Interesting that it went from your favorite trilogy to the worst trilogy. That must have been a painful transition lol

It was 😔 One second I was reading about the World's Worst Roadtrip and next thing I knew it was back to brooding Drizzt

I remember I listened to the audiobook for Exile and I fell asleep when it was going on about Drizzt being his edgy persona "The Hunter". When I woke up, 40 minutes had elapsed, and it was still talking about The Hunter.

I finished Exile last night, I stayed up until Midnight reading it fndjdjdn (I usually go to bed around 10)
I'm disappointed Jarlaxle took Dinin with him, I quite dislike Dinin and was hoping this was his opportunity to die Also I don't think it clearly stated if the Do'urden sisters died? But rip Maya if you died with zero development lol
Saddest death was still the mushroom massacre (sorry Clacker), and best part was when Guen destroyed the brain blob.

Omg.... now onto Sojourn
I know Dinin is a little prick, but I can't help but feel bad for him. Drizzt was only "good" because of the special set of circumstances given to him (i.e. his father was around to help him and shield him from a lot of things). Dinin was just doing whatever he could to survive in such a hostile environment. He's not worse than any other drow out there, and I think he's sort of representative of the average dark elf.
The Do'Urden sisters all died except for Vierna. So yes, Maya did die with 0 development and she's basically never brought up ever again
I didn't care about Clacker, but the saddest death isn't Zaknafein falling into the lake? Lol

Yes, onto Sojourn.
I agree Dinin is like the average dark elf, but something about his personality just made me annoyed. I did like that he was honest about not being capable about going up against Drizzt though.
RIP Maya, you were of noble blood yet even Rizzen got more character development than you.
No, I had already come to terms with Zak being dead, so when he fell into the lake it felt more like a mercy than anything.
