"Bluepaw!" Graypaw and Dustheart cheered as Bluepaw was named an apprentice.
Once the meeting was over, Graypaw trotted off to Flamestar to join the patrol that he was going on. Dustheart met up with her as well. The two cats sat and waited for Flamestar to motion for them to be on their way.

"Yea... So Bluepaw... We will begin training tomorrow." Leaffall said to his new apprentice and walked away. He sat not far away and start cleaning himself.
Amberpaw yawned. "I'm a bit tired." She whispered. "Are we going soon?"

"We will go as soon as Flamestar signals for us to go," Dustheart answered his apprentice.

(( ♚Meme Bird ♚, you know I do that just to irritate you. <3 ))
Once every cat was accounted for, he flicked his tail and turned around the face the forest. "We're all ready, so let's go." He meowed so every cat could hear him, before exciting camp and veering sharply left towards Windclan's old territory. (( The border patrol will be attacked by a mountain lion cub. The hunting patrol could come rescue them or run back to camp and get help. <3 ))
Lilypaw excited camp before you could say wait, but slowed down once the entrance was out of sight. Feeling slightly tired, the white female parted her jaws to let in the scents of the forest around her. Turning slightly to the right, she followed the familiar trial which led to where the two-legs lived. The peculiar dens in which the pink creatures lived in soon came into sight. She saw a black blur on one of the fences (Little) and quickly ducked out of view, hoping the kitty-pet didn't see her. Some of them could be quite ferocious at times and she only knew the basics of defense.
The pretty tortoiseshell's tail flicked back and forth, showing her irritation. Once she was past the camp walls, she broke into a sprint, wanting to be alone for a while. (( Open ))

Darkshade flicked his tail in annoyance when Flamestar didn't answer his question and followed his leader through the camp entrance, already in a sour mood and the day was just beginning. He lifted his nose as caught the scent of squirrel nearby and he soon spotted the sandy gray creature scurry down the oak tree, oblivious to the patrol downwind of it. Just because they was on a border patrol, didn't mean they had to say no to some fresh-kill.
The tabby flicked his tail for the rest of the patrol to stay and he began to creep up on the squirrel, keeping his pawsteps silently but also keeping up a be err risk pace. Once the warrior was a few tail lengths away he leaped and landed on the squirrel's tail, quickly ending it's life with a clean bite to the neck. He grabbed his catch and made his way back to the patrol, feeling a bit better after the successful hunt.

When he heard a slight sound to his right, the orange tabby turned around to see Darkshade stalking a grey squirrel. Keeping quiet, Flamestar waited patiently until the blue tabby caught the creature. The leader padded up to the warrior, before saying, "Nice catch, a plump one too." He smiled briefly, before flicking his tail to the rest of the patrol, telling them to follow him deeper into the heart of their territory. He was just about to say something more, when a familiar scent hit him; mountain lion. The mountains were far away, but ever since the drought, more and more of them had been traveling down into the valley. "Quick, everyone stay still." He hissed, unsheathing his claws warily as he tasted the air once more. His head snapped in the other direction when the wind suddenly changed; the mountain lion cub now knew where they were.
Lilypaw froze when she heard the female's voice, yet said nothing. She flattened herself against the ground, daring not to breath, less the kitty-pet found out where she was hiding. Quiet as a mouse, she slowly made her way around the two-leg's den, feeling more and more confident; that is, until she stepped on a twig. She made a dive for a nearby thorn bush and forced herself to be still, despite the thorns drawing blood from her pelt.
Leopardface slowly came to a stop, feeling slightly better after her short sprint. Deciding to catch something before she returned back to camp, she parted her jaws and tasted the air. The smell of thrush was heavy and thick, letting her know that the creature was close. Immediately dropping into a hunter's crouch, the female warrior slowly made her way towards an open field in which she spotted the brown bird pecking at the ground, probably looking for an early breakfast. The creature didn't see her creeping up on it until it was too late. Leopardface wiggled her haunches before leaping into the air and landing square on her victim. Using her teeth to nip the back of the thrush's neck, she picked it up in her jaws and took it back to camp.

Darkshade purred at the compliment and followed his leader. He froze as a familiar scent reached his nose. "Mountain lion!" The warrior snarled quietly, his fur bristle. He quietly dug a hole beside him and buried his squirrel. He then remembered that they had two apprentices with them and he pushed Amberpaw and Graypaw behind him. "Stay behind us. Mountain lions are vicious." He warned the younger cats, his scars and ripped as proof. He slid out his claws as the scent grew closer to them.

"M-maybe i-i-it won't h-hurt us." Amberpaw stammered as she hide behind the warrior. "Maybe i-it's friendly."
Little jumped off the fence. "Helloooo." She purred playfully. "I will not fight you. I am friendly. You can come here." She sniffed the air one more time. "Wild cat."

Dustheart followed Flamestar on the patrol as they traveled deeper into the woods. However, when he was instructed not to move, he froze in his paw steps. He couldn't help feeling frightened when he saw what was the matter, but he made sure that the scent of fear was hidden. He didn't want to alert this lion cub that there was a whole patrol of cats in its presence. Where there was a lion cub, there was also its mother close by. If the cub's mother showed up and spotted them there, then they would all be fresh-kill. Therefore, he remained frozen in his position with the fear scent hidden. He waited there for further instructions as he stared in the direction of the cub, praying that it would not detect them, and praying even harder that the mother would not detect them.
Graypaw froze immediately when Flamestar instructed the patrol not to move. She stood dead in her tracks, and her eyes widened as she saw what was going on. This was her first time seeing one of these predators, but despite her inexperience with them, she knew all too well to not make any sudden movements. She did not wish to alarm the cub, for she surely did not want to become its meal. Graypaw would be even more terrified if the cub's mother showed up. She was careful not to show her fear, but she wasn't sure if she was doing well enough as to hide all of her lingering scent of fear. She at least remained as quiet as possible and dared not to make a sound as she waited for what was going to happen next.

"A friendly mountain lion?" The warrior said skeptically, eyeing the apprentice who had said it. "I don't think so." He turned towards Flamestar, looking at the great golden leader curiously. "I don't think we should attack it. The noise my alert it's mother and we certainly don't want to deal with that. Plus we have apprentices with us." He said as he flash a look towards the two young cat.
