Strong, Independant She-Cats Don't Need No Man!

Weird title aside, I'm kind of disappointed in the lack of female cats in the Warriors series without mates & kits or an interest in getting them.
I mean, there really aren't many she-cats who are happy to live their life as a Warrior and not a mother. Not that there is anything really wrong with being a Queen, but the Erins paint them in such a pathetic light it's as if any female who has kits suddenly becomes soft and gentle.
Believe me, I've seen feral cat mothers. Living on a farm, I've even had a mother raise her kittens in my hay shed. They're tough, cold and determined, teaching their babies life lessons like hunting and fighting just weeks after birth. They will grudgingly abandon deformed kittens without a backwards glance if it's for the good of the others. They will personally shred anyone who comes within 100 metres of their kits, yet I've seen them give a kitten of theirs a pretty rough scratch across the face for misbehaving. It toughens them up. Mother cats will spend hours moving all their kittens, one by one, to better grounds in the thunder and pouring rain.
So why are Queens in the Warriors series such pansies?
According to the Warriors wiki, there have been 118 Queens. Looking through them all personally, I would count at least 67 of them as too soft. (I'm looking at you, Brightheart, Ferncloud, Millie, Bluefur). I mean, these cats were sheltering their pwecious wittle wonders waayy too much.
Oh, and Bluefur provides us with a good segway to the main topic, too. Quote:
"Surely there was more to offer the Clan than kits!"
Yep. Bluefur (Bluestar) thinks this as she is being told that she needs to get a mate and kits before time runs out. It's my thoughts exactly. I mean, she-cats have so much more they can give to the clan other than kits, like their skills at hunting, fighting, their good eyesight or sense of smell, ect.
For those of you who have read this far: without looking it up or digging through your books, name 5 she-cats who never had a mate or kits and were perfectly fine with that. Medicine cats don't count.
So there's my rant. Got something to add? Feel free to comment ^^
