So the Warrior Cats world was... immensely depraved of cultural differences between Clans. This made lots of problems. Why didn't the Clans just join together under one leader? Why do the Clans have so many misunderstandings? Why don't they become different via distance?
So I'm here to speculate with YOU guys. Throw me your Alternate Universes, your Headcanons, your Criticisms! If you ask, I'll share my own as well, and we can chat away about it!

I think it's strange how they they don't just band together, like something can act as a currency, a leader can buy a hunting trip for a patrol, and the fourtrees can be used as a market place like thing when there are no gaterhings, training, special herbs or even strange items like watches or wrappers. That my idea for a warriors setting! It's not as action packed but what ever XD

Yeah, that is a little strange. I mean, the Clans are so much alike - and they were one big group at one point (the ancient Tribe of Rushing Water), so 90% of the Founders were compatible. Joint leaderships (showcased in Tigerstar/Leopardstar) could be believable.
And it would still be action packed! Internal splits, differences in morals, the problem of numbers, other cats trying to tear down their ways of life- TWOLEGS!
Heck, the Erins could've used the Great Journey as a reason why the Clans split out. Maybe some cats felt a certain way, got bonded, had similar ideals/morals, and the cats suddenly realized "Woah, there's a lot less drama when we're split up among likeminded cats" and viola, you have a believable backstory for the Clans. :I
Sorry, got on a tangent there.
I forsee myself (and a few other people) doing that a lot...

Well, first off, cats are cats. Second, their "society" was one that strictly followed tradition, and having a safe, stable, ordered system that never changes is very easy to go by and is quite effective even. Albeit some of the rules in the system weren't too great, but... Honestly... the entire way they live is one big form of their own culture. What are you looking for instead of that? Variety? That's not the system they've created, and frankly I don't think they should radically change it. I know people today are excessively focused on changing everything and bringing a revolution to everything we've once known so that it's only a thing of the past. But our traditions and the things we've known forever are so important, and just changing everything only has people lost on a constantly winding trail.
Second. The first question you asked has been gradually explained in the newest series about the beginnings of the clans. And if that doesn't satisfy you, you can easily look at our countries. Why do countries keep splitting from other countries to become independent? Why can't we all just be one country ruled by one person? well, for one, differences in the preferences of leadership. Also, as you may have noticed, people tend to flock in the groups where they are most similar to other people, they like to hang out with those that share with them certain interests in common. ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan, And ThunderClan all have something alike in their individual groups. The Clans are more like countries than cats.
Third, misunderstandings; Again, let me remind you, these are cats we're talking about. The main reasons I've seen that misunderstandings are created is that one, cats are trying to look out for their own clan, their loyalty creating a rift between them and the other clans; For example, a Thunderclan cat steals prey from riverclan but it was only because his clan was starving. RiverClan only thinks that ThunderClan are thieving jerks. RiverClan keeps to themselves inside their own territory, so they're not going to know why ThunderClan stole from them. Since each clan considers each other enemies, it is not likely that they're going to give their enemies the benefit of the doubt and trust it was for a good reason. Firestar had the mindset to trust even his enemies and not necessarily jump to attack as the first instinct, but it was stated several times he was different from the other warrior cats in this way.
Three. In order for the system to work properly and for the code to stay in balance the clans stay together. SkyClan lives by itself but obviously it struggles because each clan, even though it would deny it, relies on every other clan to survive. They can't live without each other. And in the most terrible, difficult times, they need each other.

I meant, like, going further than the Erins. Yes, they're cats. Anthropomorphised cats. They can speak, live in complex, structured groups, and act more like Humans than cats (monogamy, laws, paternal care, mentoring in sophisticated education, religion, etc). I do believe we can talk about Warriors in terms of culture.
This is a "for fun" thread, may I remind. I don't see what the problem is for a thread that just wants to extend on what the Erins did.
I never said anything about "changing" Warriors. I just want to, you know, discuss "What If" and wonder what would happen if things were a little more complicated, a bit more complex.
I'm not turning Warriors into Felidae. I want to have fun, and I'm sure others do too!
If you want to figure out why this is here, check this out:
In the cold winter after the trine moved to the mountains, some went to find a better place. They soon settled down into different areas and learned to like different things. They soon split up and became the clans, so that is why they can not combine and culture exists in the warriors world.
