Ross rolled his blue which he had opened"my familiar is really stubborn,she can't even take a joke!"he laughed as he remembered the joke he had pulled on the she-cat earlier.He stopped laughing and stood up of the floor wiping the dirt of his black trousers.

"My familiar, is humorous for all of the wrong reasons." She smiled a big at the thought of the bi which always brought her spirits up.

"It's weird though, I always thought a familiar was supposed to be your best friend. Some of the other witches and warlocks I've met only talk to their familiar for training purposes."

Ross shook his head"I've never meet any other witches or warlocks,Eva sometimes say that they're aggressive sometimes..."he said glancing at where his familiar had been.He grinned and leaped with the agileness of a cat onto a box near the group.

"I think we're supposed to be aggressive, but I've previously been called a shy ball of fuzz." She giggled the slightest bit with her words.

Ross laughed"I prefer drawing,writing,reading and studying animals rather the being aggressive"he smiled from his box.Suddenly the box opened and apples came out but Ross wasn't in the pile of wood and apples.

Jade laughed awkwardly, feeling a bit butted out of the conversation. Charkat, however, was furious. How dare they exclude her! What a bunch of losers! Why don't they go-- Jade smacked him, already knowing that he was about to claw someone's ear off. "Hey, uh, sorry to interrupt, but I don't suppose I could stay at someone's house in Cliffholt? We're from BelPond and we'll be here a few days." At the mention of we, she picked up the grey cat and held him close. "This is my familiar, Charkat.

Ross reappeared on the ground where he had sat before when saying where his familiar was"My familiar might get a little weird with guests,but maybe..."he stood up and picked up one of the apples that had fallen out of the broken box.

Jade smiled. "I'm sure she'll be fine. She's a cat, right? She and Charkat can talk about stuff." Charkat, in turn, grumbled. "What makes you think I'll get along with some stupid other cat.." He muttered, earning a flick on the head from her. "Sorry. He can be a pain sometimes."

Ross nodded"yes,Eva is a cat too and she's a pain too they're gonna get along great"he said sarcastically rolling his eyes.in his best Eva voice which was actually quite bad.Ross bite into the red apple and enjoyed the taste of it.

"If that doesn't work out, I'm sure you could stay at my place." She responded with a weak smile, trying to be helpful.

Jade glanced over at her, smiling. "I'd love to. And I'm sure it might work out better, since someone doesn't particularly get along with other cats." Charkat grumbled, huddling closer to her in her arms.

Ross nodded remembering his recent encounter with the bird"hey you said your familiar was a bird right?what kind?"he asked her.He looked over to the crate where he had met the bird that flew away when it saw him.

"My familiar is a mockingjay." She spoke sweet and simple, adding nothing to her sentence.

Ross nodded"I saw a bird earlier didn't get a proper look at it since I was a cat then and it flew away"he smiled and took another bite of the red apple in his hand.

Jade blinked, curious. "A mockingjay? I've never seen one before. What are they like?" She questioned, petting her familiar gently as he purred.
