Greetings to everyone out there on the Untold Tales forum. My name is Dawnleaf and I am an Interviewer for the Newspaper. Today we have a special interview by no one other than the forum famous creator of WCUT and Administrator of the forum, Falconstar . I was able to contact Falcon via Personal Message to get a special interview from him. As the members and guests of the forum know, Falcon hosted a holiday event known as Deck the Untold Tales. The event was such as success that I have decided to ask him a couple questions about the event and get his input on it. Below are the two questions I asked him...
1. What was your reason for hosting the WCUT Deck the Untold Tales event? Like what was the purpose behind it?
I envisioned Deck the Untold Halls as an event
to bring the community together in a
meaningful and exciting way. Throughout
the holiday season, I observed many
members of the forums banding together
for a common cause and making new
friends as they participated in the events
planned for them. The goal was to both bring
members of the WC:UT board closer
together and to generate an enthusiastic
atmosphere of fun for all involved.
Falcon has created such an amazing forum that
has indeed brought an amazing community together.
The community continues to thrive every day and
will continue to thrive in the coming years. Now,
these were just a couple of the questions that I
have asked Falcon. I asked him one last question,
an optional question to be exact, about any upcoming
events that he may have planned for us all. Here is
his input...
2. How did you feel when the forum members participated in the event?
I believe strongly that the one thing that makes
WC:UT such an awesome place to be is the
community, and that community is made
up of members. When members participated
in the Holiday Event, I was excited because it
meant that they cared about being here
and participating in our group. It was honestly
awesome to see the effort with which some
members took forward the holiday spirit and
pumped their hard-work and creativity into
making the little event I had envisioned into
a truly amazing spectacle. I want to thank
everyone who participated in Deck the Untold
Halls-- WC:UT is what it is because of people
like you.
Optional Question: Is there any plans for small future events?
Nothing set in stone, but I have a few ideas
floating around in my mind for future events.
Who knows?
As for now, we will have to wait to see what Falcon has in store for the forum. We know that there might be events in the future that will continue to bring people closer together. Just be patient and continue to make new friends here on the forum...
Until next time and signing of,
Dawnleaf

With the beginning of the New Year comes the end of the WC:UT Christmas Event, the first event holiday event ever held on the forums that focused around two playing teams, the Reindeer Team and the Elf Team. The team with the most members would win, which ultimately was the Reindeer Team. However, witnessing all the spirit and such the elves displayed, it couldn’t be said that they lost with their attitude on the matter. I’m The Elven Brave, reporting from the elve’s side.
Many elves agreed they would love to have another event like this, and that is was a very nice change with all the holiday cheer. With the splash of white for the forum skin, and Christmas-y feelings along with the titles and name colors was also sought to be an enjoyable part of this event. I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t feeling like it was really the holiday season until this event was put together, and it set the mood with the color scheme in my opinion.
A lot of the elves could agree that they really appreciated seeing all the art and workshop type events created during this time, along with scouring the forums for the hidden presents. It’s a great way for our forums artists to display all their unique art, and perhaps the competition bit of it inspired some those who suffer from artists-block[someone such as me], to get into the holiday spirit and open up some shops, whether exclusively for elves, or not.
Despite the elves being on the “losing” team, elves proclaimed that they were, in fact, not on the losing team due to their spirit and loyalty. The elves always seemed to carry an optimistic attitude towards it, and felt it wouldn’t be the same if they changed teams just to be on the winning team.
To wrap things up, it was a very enjoyable event, and the unique art seems to be a favorite of it on the elf side. If this event was based on bubbling spirit, I’d say the elves won on that.

To match Brave's Elf article, the crew decided to look on the Reindeer side of things and gathered their opinions. A thread was made in the Reindeer-exclusive board asking for opinions on their event. The questions asked were how much they enjoyed the event, how they felt about the victory, and what they thought it was that made them win. Interestingly enough, there were many mixed replies.
Most reindeer thought that the event was fun, but certain replies higlighted the cons of event, especially about the competitive and almost aggressive air of the whole thing. One user did not enjoy the event at all, but they liked seeing everyone's art in the second activity. The reindeer also did not like the spying that went on between the sides.
The reindeer generally felt that winning was nice. Some thought that it was great and they were really excited to win. Others thought that the result was very underwhelming and they deserved a better prize for the event. Another user also thought that the elves should gotten something as a reward, too.
Many users attributed the Reindeers' victory to the fact that Untold Tales is a forum based around animals, so it would be only natural that they would pick the animal side. Others thought that it was because of the red name having a better aesthetic appeal than the green, and that the Reindeer were ahead to begin with.

Four hours 'till midnight....
Waterpelt smiled, heading into the kitchen to check on the cake - it was supposed to be done by now. She wanted it to be ready before her guests got here in a couple hours, but she was disappointed to see it did not look like the cake in the recipe. Suddenly, she heard the doorbell ring. Waterpelt looked up, shocked - who could be there? After all, it wasn't close to the party hours yet. Opening the door, she was greeted by two of her friends, Spottedleaf and Dawnleaf. Outside, the ground was covered in a thin layer of snow. Down the road, Water could hear cheering and shouting - probably the New Year's Eve parade.
"You guys are early. The party doesn't start for another hour or so..." Waterpelt said. Spottedleaf shrugged in response.
"We got the food earlier so we figured we would come by right now," Dawn replied, heading in without waiting for a response. Water sighed, letting Spottedleaf come in as well. Once inside, Spottedleaf set the bag of Chinese food down on the table
"So where's Birch?" Water asked. Dawn shrugged, and Spotted sighed - it looked almost like they had practiced this.
"No idea! Probably last minute shopping. She'll be here, though," Spotted said with a smile.
Three hours 'till midnight...
Waterpelt sighed, holding the door open for Wolfheart and Tinycloud. She was happy to see them but Birch still wasn't here.
"...Uh, Waterpelt, you can shut the door now," Tinycloud said. Waterpelt blinked, realizing she still was holding the door. She let go and gave Tinycloud a nervous smile. She decided that maybe it was time to serve food - at least she would be focused on something else.
"So! Who's hungry for food?!" Waterpelt said entering the dining room with the bag of food. Dawnleaf and Spottedleaf looked up from a small game of cards.
"Do we really need to say anything?" Spottedleaf asked.
Waterpelt chuckled. "I suppose not," she admitted, quickly grabbing the food out of the bag and placing it down.
Everyone dug in, but, of course, she saved some of it in case Birch ever showed up. Outside, the cheering had died down, which probably meant that the parade was over. Dawnleaf and Wolfheart had gone into the living room and turned the tv on. It showed that the clock in Fourtrees was counting down to midnight.
Two hours 'till midnight...
Waterpelt moved her plastic mouse 4 squares and landed on the "community service" tile.
"I'm out of the game... That was all my money," she said with a sigh. Waterpelt raised her paws up as a gesture of defeat.
"Muahaha! I can conquer this board! I will rule all the hunting areas and clans!" Dawnleaf exclaimed, triumphantly. Waterpelt had to clamp her mouth shut to not giggle, though she didn't know why she wanted to prevent it. She suddenly paused, after hearing the doorbell ring.
"...Well, everyone else is here... so it must be Birch!" she said with a smile, running to open the door. As she expected, Birch was waiting outside the door. She had a box of games, a couple of paper crowns, and confetti. "I'm just going to assume this is why you were late," Waterpelt said, shaking her head.
One hour 'till midnight...
Tinycloud, Wolfheart, and Rippleshadow got up from the game. Waterpelt glanced at the clock - it was 11:00 PM.
"Are you guys going?" Waterpelt asked, and the trio nodded in reply. Waterpelt had already known that they weren't going to stay long. They all had jobs early in the morning so they usually had to leave early, if they even went to a party at all. Still, she was a slight bit surprised at this. She then started to grab the games, most of which were brought by Tinycloud, although a couple of them belonged to Birch.
"Ah...thanks," meowed Tinycloud as Waterpelt handed them to her, grabbing her winter jacket and scarf before exiting the house. She was closely followed by Rippleshadow and Wolfheart.
Birch looked at the cake on the table. "Uh, weren't we all supposed to celebrate by eating the cake? Along with those three?" Birch asked Waterpelt. Waterpelt halted, looking at the cake as if it were a weapon.
"Trust me....no one is eating that cake. I guess I forgot to throw it away," Waterpelt replied.
"I'm sure it would have tasted fine," Dawnleaf assured, smiling at Waterpelt, who simply chuckled in response.
Midnight
"MIDNIGHT!!" Spotted and Birch shouted.
"We are officially in 2016!" Birch added, with a grin.
Waterpelt smiled. "Great. So now what do we do? Go to sleep?"
Dawnleaf sighed like it was obvious what they were supposed to do. "We say what our resolutions are!" she exclaimed.
Waterpelt paused - she really didn't have a resolution but there was no harm in listening to the others. "Okay then. So what's your resolution, Dawnleaf?" she asked.
"Oh, easy! See, I haven't done a lot of writing in 2015, even though I had some free time. So this year I'll do more writing in my free time and share it with my friends," Dawnleaf replied. She then added, "Well, since you know mine now, what about yours, Waterpelt?"
"Oh...um... I really don't make resolutions, usually," Waterpelt admitted. "But I suppose if I did, I think I would start writing more often." When she finished, Waterpelt looked over at Birch and Spottedleaf. "Spotted, Birch, what are your resolutions?" she asked.
Spottedleaf and Birch exchanged glances. "Well," Birch began,"I want to try harder to get my Bible studies done. Spot?"
"I just want to learn more about the Word in general," Spottedleaf said, adding on to her sister's goal.
Waterpelt nodded. "I hope we can all reach our goals this year. Together."
