I have a piece of moss set next to a thistle wall, four pieces of prey on it, and a shiny Twoleg thing on top. It's been several in-game days, and no potential mate has showed up. Does anyone have any suggestions for making it more likely for a mate to show up?

Is it right next to the wall? If so, you might want to move it away because there may not be enough room with the nest right next to the wall. If it's not, then maybe it's just taking longer for you.

Well first of all, for me I only have to put a shiny think on moss. I place it next to a thicket with tons of moss, place the shiny thing and bam when I go to sleep I get a mate < 3

Yes, but placing prey doesn't have a negative effect so that's not the problem. It must be something else

I moved the wall a little (it's a small "wall" of thistles in the center of the den) a little away from the nest, but still no mate. Here's a picture of my camp, with the moss nest and the thistle wall circled in red.
