Manami nodded, deciding she could be a bit more quiet now that she had been acquainted. "Mhm, hes a little less than a year older than me, name's Umiko. He's the son of Poseidon, though." She replied with a shrug, before looking around. "I'm not sure if he's going to come to camp, though. He's always busy." Her voice was dismissive, although her thoughts weren't. "Speaking of, has anybody seen him? Black hair, green eyes, overgrown black hair. Kind of looks like a male version of me." Manami described him vaguely, though her hopes weren't very high.
(No worries, Citrine , I hate writing on cell phones too.)
"Ugh, I know, right? I was suspecting that my math teacher was a cyclopes for a while. I almost started hoping he was, anything would've been better than another lecture on algebra." She grimaced to herself, slightly shaking her head. She just couldn't pick it up the new information fast enough, and she couldn't remember for the life of her what parts of the question she was supposed to cross out (and sometimes she just settled for reducing the entire thing to a scribble out of boredom and frustration, but that was besides the point). Then she paused. "... Or were we covering polynomials when I thought he was a monster...? Doesn't really matter, they were both pretty awful."
Joshua seemed thoughtful for a moment, then shook his head. "I don't think so," he started, only to pause. He'd actually spotted somebody who could fit that description before he went over to Alex and the others, but he'd dismissed it. "Or, actually, I might have. But I'm not sure where he is now." He didn't want to destroy her hopes, but he also didn't want to make her hope only for it to turn out he had been wrong.
Lucia laughed at that, but nodded. "At times I wish that, too. One of my teachers actually turned out to be a monster one time," she admitted. "But it sucked because she was actually a teacher I liked."
Her English teacher had actually tried to help her out at times, but in the end, that had turned out to be a plan to catch Lucia off-guard. Luckily, it hadn't succeeded. Or, rather, she had been caught off-guard, but had managed to win regardless.
Once again, Umiko peeked out at the group, however wasn't expecting it when Ben turned around, putting him straight in Elettra's line of sight. "Hey, is that him? She asked, and wow, his escape plan hadn't really succeeded. Knowing he'd been caught, he strode out and stood in front of his sister.
"You've grown." He commented, not giving her a hello or anything of the sort. Suddenly, he felt cornered by the large number of people around him, despite there actually not being a ton. "I'll talk to you later." He said calmly, walking off toward the cabins.
Manami had a huge smile on her face as he walked away. "Well, at least he's here." She said, before turning back to Joshua, Ben, and Riley. "So, what happens at this camp?" She asked, gaze flitting around curiously.
"Hmm." Ria's expression turned thoughtful as she tried to remember the times that she had encountered monsters. There were a lot, unsurprisingly. Sometimes, when she was younger, she didn't even realize she had spotted a monster until years down the line. "Yeah, that's too bad. I never had a monster disguised as a teacher, but I hear they pull that card on a lot of half-bloods." She glanced out over at camp quickly, letting her gaze sweep over it briefly before turning her attention back to Lucia, a glint of mischief in her hazel eyes. "I'm gonna go pack my stuff up, we could spar again soon if you want? I feel like I'm way out of practice."
"Lots of things," Joshua replied with a laugh. "You train, and perhaps do some sports if you like that stuff, and there are also things like the campfire at night that the Apollo cabin sets up. Every Friday we also have a capture the flag game," he explained happily. It wasn't hard to note that Joshua was excited about having somebody to share his cabin with. He paused, though, when he was suddenly tackled by Freya with a war cry.
He yelped, stumbling backwards while barely managing to keep himself from falling.
Lucia nodded, absentmindedly running a hand over her sword sheath. "Sure, sounds good. I wanted to go see who else has already arrived, anyway," she beamer, a familiar determination in her eyes. "But we totally have to spar later on. Promise?" She was grinning while saying that, pushing a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.
Manami sidestepped as two identical girls barreled past her, each of them crashing into a camper. Elettra slid off of Ben's back just in time as Brooke basically attacked him, once again getting the wind knocked out of him and landing on his rear. He crossed his legs as he sat on the ground, pouting and crossing his arms. "Nobody told me we were playing American football," He joked, deciding to stay seated.
Brooke raised an eyebrow. "Ben, do you have cooties?" When he gave her a confused shake of the head, she replied, "Okay, good, because the ground isn't very nice to sit on." She said, attitude the main tone of her voice as she sat in his lap. He threw his arms up into the air, exasperated.
"Well, Manami, seeing as Brooke isn't going anywhere soon, this is... Well, Brooke." He deadpanned, before looking toward Freya, figuring she could introduce herself.
The smile of Ares’ daughter tinged on a smirk, but it was nevertheless bright and genuine as she sent Lucia a mock-salute. “Promise.” She meant that, too, it seemed like the perfect way to kick off the summer. Lucia was really good, and Ria respected her, there wasn't any shame in admitting that. "Now, I'm just going to throw my stuff in a corner somewhere and I'll catch up with you later." With a final confident nod, she turned on her heel towards the circle of cabins.
Freya stared at Ben for a few moments, not really sure what he wanted. Then, finally, she shrugged. "I'm Freya, best fighter in the whole camp!" she boasted with a grin, which made Joshua roll his eyes.
He pushed her off lightly with a small laugh. "More like biggest annoyance in the whole camp," he teased, laughing more when Freya pouted.
Lucia waved after her. "See you later!" she called out, then continued walking. Not too many people had arrived yet, but with all of them coming from all over the world, basically, that would take a bit. Though, she was already looking forward to the campfire that night. It was always great on the first day when everybody had stories to share.
Oliver's gaze went between the two of them, to people around them, and then back to them. This place was far too crowded for his liking. Besides, what this kid was saying was ridiculous, and besides, he lived for trouble. "I don't think I'll be running into any issues, aside from overly friend people, too soon." "You'll warm up to everything soon enough" Marinette simply replied, not seeing to take any offense to his obvious disliking of them.
Percy turned toward the sound of the voice that called him. It was familiar and not at the same time. Then again, after three years who would be completely sure about a voice that hasn't beenbhears since then. He squinted his eyes as they layer sight on him, it was his immediate thought but it was ridiculous so he couldn't just jump to that conclusion. He stepped closer to see his face better, the gears in his head obviously turning as his insane thought seemed more and more real. "..Oh my gods.... Nick?"
Naomi sighed "ugh it was SO boring and long I couldn't wait to finally get back to camp" Naomi's eyes glimmered with excitement. She then gave sanaa a peck on the cheeck "Honestly the school year gets incredibly dull i'd rather just full time be here but apparently thats not allowed in my house" Naomi added looking at the camp. "Anyways how have you been? I'm hoping you missed me" Naomi asked.
(Anyone want to interact with my characters And I'm debating i have a daughter of zues who i want to add but its yet again another girl...LoL, but she's like 10 so it'd be adorable)
While Alex didn't really take offense to his words, he frowned. "This place is best with friends, you shouldn't push people away," he shot back stubbornly. He was a patient person, but something about the way Oliver had replied made him think that patience wouldn't help much here. He crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Whose child are you, anyway?" A common question inside the camp, really. Especially with new people.
His grin widened a bit. Nick stepped closer, holding up a peace-sign with his fingers. "Yo," he said. "Nick Evergreen, at your service." He had often used the phrase teasingly or mockingly when he had been younger, and it had just somehow stuck. A part of him wanted to hug his old friend, while another part of him was hesitant. They hadn't seen each other for three years, were they even still friends? People had different opinions on things like that, and he knew as much. Though, he was rather sure that Percy still considered him as a friend, but he ended up just standing a bit away from him, his amber eyes having the same kind spark in them as they usually had.
"I've been doing alright," Sanaa said with a smile. "I had my finals, though they weren't very hard in my eyes." It wasn't a secret that Sanaa had rather good grades in school, so she didn't feel like it'd surprise anybody. "And of course I've missed you," she added with a laugh. While Sanaa wasn't as obvious about it as Alex, it was stil clear that she had missed her girlfriend.
"I hope you know I still don't believe that idiocy." He shot out at him pointedly, "My mother was insane, but there's no way she sent me here for this." He hasn't meant to mention his mother, but they couldn't get out of it that they had a bad relationship. What even is this place? A camp for loonies? He thought to himself bitterly.
Percy found himself stepping closer until he was face to face and then hugged Nick tightly. "I'm glad you're back..." He did NOT want to get all overemotional, but its been three years so of course he'd be surprised and excited.
There was a moment where Alex was quiet, then his hand slowly wandered to his dagger, drawing it smoothly. "Do you know how to fight?" he asked. It seemed like a complete change of topic, but it really wasn't. Alex wanted to get through to him, and if fighting to get his point across could fix it, then he'd do it. He bit his cheek, staring down at his blade for a second and how it reflected the sunlight.
He could have used his sword, but his dagger was still his main weapon. So, after watching the small, sharp blade glint for a moment longer, he looked straight at Quinn, trying to figure him out already.

"Glad to be back, too," Nick said with a small laugh, accepting the hug without complaints. It still stung a bit to see the camp, but it wasn't as bad anymore. The beads around his wrist were a reminder, but it was more a happy memory than a sad one, in his opinion. "I did tan some more, though," he said, trying to lighten the mood. "California's weather is insane at times~"
