HI! It's Animal Xpert! So, all versions of life in Untold Tales can become boring after a long time playing… this is annoying and sometimes even frustrating! There are many ways to solve this common problem, so, I am making a thread, that will hopefully help you with whatever trouble you are having. Let’s go!
Clan Life:
Hunting: In NewLeaf, prey is common and abundant. So take from CarrionPlace, and hunt a lot! You may even spend a lot of time doing so! In GreenLeaf, don’t take from carrion place and hunt a bit less. Still, stock up on reputation from hunting until LeafFall. In LeafFall, hunt as much as GreenLeaf, but avoid the thrushes, they have flown south and squirrels and frogs should be avoided to, as they are both hibernating. Only hunt mice and rabbits. I know it is hard, but it makes things harder and more fun! In LeafBare, only hunt mice and rabbits, and don’t drink from moss, it is frozen. If you are a RiverClan cat, don’t hunt fish in LeafBare, ice had gone over the water.
Territory guarding: Stay in your own side of the territory and try not to cross borders, it makes things more real! Every day, at sunset or sunrise, sometimes sunrise, if you want, go and patrol a certain area of your territory. If you are ThunderClan, you may want to search your side of the Thunderpath for a few tiles and perhaps the place just right of FourTrees and if you are WindClan, maybe you’d want to patrol the tiles around and where MotherMouth is. If you see any other cats trespassing, challenge them. Take out one if you can, and flee if you have to low health, but pretend to warn the deputy! If you do kill one, catch and eat a piece of prey to pretend you lost reputation because of it.
Apprentices: If you have an apprentice, make a schedule! Here’s mine, but you can make your own if you want to!
Day 1: Hunt five prey, whether you catch them or not Day 2: Take apprentice on border patrol with you, and fight trespassing cats if any Day 3: Hunt five prey, whether you catch them or not Day 4: Take apprentice on a battle quest (Save first, he can die) Day 5: Hunt five prey, whether you catch them or not Day 6: Take apprentice on border patrol with you, and fight trespassing cats if any Day 7: Hunt five prey, whether you catch them or not Day 8: Take apprentice on a battle quest (Save first, he can die)
Day 9: Hunt five prey, whether you catch them or not Day 10: (End of season!) Hunt and fight until both of the bars are almost full Day 11: (New season!) Take apprentice to the gathering Day 12: Take your apprentice to the Moonstone Day 13: (Last day!) Fight until fight bar is full, then hunt until hunt bar is full. Apprentice receives warrior name! Now your apprentice, is a warrior and is your best friend, fighting along your side. Don’t turn him off, wait until he dies in battle, and he may not anyway, so you could have him lifelong!
Fun Trick: Once you have trained an apprentice, buy a five bonus coins and then get challenge mode, turn it on and find Coco, and make you last name -paw. Now you are an apprentice, and your former apprentice is your mentor! Not needed, but fun!
Medicine Cat’s Assistant: If you are a med cat assistant, then collect tons of herbs in all the seasons except LeafBare, they aren’t there anymore then! So collect during the other seasons and give them all to the medicine apprentice. Don’t fight in battles, but still hunt. And heal yourself whenever needed, also, you may cross territory borders, med cats are able to do that.
Deputy’s Assistant: As a deputy’s assistant, fill battle quests all the time, talk to him every day, and summon patrols when you go into battle. In LeafBare, when it is snowing, don’t summon patrols. They can’t come, the snow is too high and the storm is too bad!
