Although Rootpaw's moves were clever, he was growing slighty cocky from his success. Rootpaw dug his claws into Shadetail's pelt with his hindpaws and bit deep into Shadetail's scruff to help him stay on the warrior's back. With his forelegs, Rootpaw attempted to reach further to dig into Shadetail's sides, albeit clumsily. cr0wt00th

"I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon; and here at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit, for a message that eludes my understanding." ―Ezio Auditore da Firenze on his role as "the Prophet", 1512. HUE HUE HUE <Ezio> Silvershade sighed as everyone left the clearing apart from her. The news of Sparkfire expecting kits before she was even a warrior had kind of shaken her, but Silvershade knew she couldn't blame the young warrior. Since she was a permanent nursery queen now, the silver she-cat decided to offer helping Sparkfire with her litter once the kits'll be born. She recalled the newly made warrior went out of the camp but then she was brought back by Honeysplash, so Silvershade went to the medicine cat's den hoping she'd still be there. By the entrance the silver she-cat stopped. "Sparkfire?" she softly called. ( 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼)

Silvershade meowed as she walked in once she heard the warrior was inside. "I just wanted to say that not everyone shuns you. I was surprised, yes, but I'm not angry at you for this decision. No one can stop you from loving Alderpaw." she meowed to her and went to sit down by her. Silvershade started grooming her fur. "That's why I offer to help you settle in the nursery when it'll be your time to move there and, once your kits are born, help you take care of them." she meowed between licks. ( 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼)

"Thanks." Sparkfire mewed. "It means a lot." she paused and decided to ask the quesiton that had been bugging her. "Do you think Sprucetail is disappointed? You knew her more than I do." Her eyes sparkled at the mention of her mother. Ezio Auditore da Firenze

"It... It would be nice." Dirtpool answered after a moment of thought. "I'd finally have kin in LeafClan. I'd belong." Her eyes were almost wistful as she thought. Dirtpool glanced at Smokefoot curiously, tilting her head curiously. "What about you?" She personally hadn't caught on to Smokefoot's hinted advances. Dirtpool never would have guessed any cat would feel anything for her, admittedly. Rootpaw's eyes were trained on Shadetail's paws, and with a paw he lashed out for them. Before his paw could hit Shadetail, however Rootpaw darted to Shadetail's flank to headbutt the tom's side. He hoped the feigned move would decieve Shadetail into protecting his paws, only to knock the tom off his feet. cr0wt00th 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼 whenever you have the time!)

She might not like that you took a mate as an apprentice, but I'm sure Sprucetail'd be proud of you." Silvershade replied, a purr rising in her throat. ( 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼)

She thought of her mother's starry fur. She wondered what her fur looked like without stars. Crowheart said she was the most beautiful cat. She thought. "It... It would be nice." Dirtpool laughed at Smokefoot's immediate response. "Really? I though most toms weren't in to that kind of stuff." Dirtpool teased. Dirtpool's snicker faded as she thought of all the mates she saw in camp, however- she'd seen the way Crowheart wistfully spoke of Sprucetail and loved his kits, and she'd seen the adoring looks Alderpaw gave Sparkfire. Maybe toms wanted that life more than Dirtpool thought. 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼

"I must go now, I have to speak to Darktooth. I wish you well, Sparkfire." she meowed to her before backing out of the den, turning around to where she last saw Darktooth. ( 🌼 Sprucetail 🌼) She did WHAT?? Cold anger flared up inside Furyfang as he watched Sparkfire run out of the camp with narrowed eyes. How--no. I will not tolerate this. he angrily thought once he saw his father go over to a place near the prey pile and Furyfang followed him there.

Shadetail Regaining some of his balance, Shadetail viciously shook himself in an attempt to get Rootpaw off of his back. In his panic, he forgot an obvious move that would've put him back in control. ( peony)

Rootpaw held on tight with his front claws. Rootpaw was gradually beginning to lose balance, and in a last effort to take advantage of Shadetail's position Rootpaw used an unsheathed paw to slash at the top of Shadetail's head. He hoped to open a wound on Shadetail's brow, effectively blinding the tom without causing lasting damage. As Rootpaw did this, his hind legs slowly slipped and Rootpaw rolled clumsily off of Shadetail. He quickly spun back onto his paws to protect his soft underbelly. ( cr0wt00thThe brow move is open ended still, but Rootpaw is definitely on the ground now. Just to clarify what is open/what isn't.)

Shadetail As quickly as he could, Shadetail tried wiping the blood from his new wound using a forepaw; he knew that him being half-blind during a fight was something he should avoid at all costs. He scrambled to his paws and luckily regained all of his balance. He straightened up, purring. "You're good for a LeafClanner," he complimented. "I feel like you rely too much on dumb luck and instinct, though. You need to be more vicious when attacking. If you have to strike your opponent's eyes, blinding them, then do it! Even during training, do everything you possibly can in order to win. Even if it means killing, nothing is more important than the sweet taste of victory." He purred for a second time. "Don't worry; I wouldn't kill you as inexperienced as you are, so you have nothing to fear from me." ( peony)
