So, most of you who have roleplayed with me in a human world know Anna "Hrafn" and Arya or Holly, depends on RP.
What many of you don't know, is the true, full backstory of tjesethese two. Now, before we begin, I do want to say this is a story of challenges, despair(IMPORTANT THERE), and of conflict. The one listed here is when it comes to modern. If there are different RPs you guys want to know, tell me and I'll post it.
Hrafn used to be no different than any of you. As a 9 year old, she learned traditions of Iceland fast. The old ways inspired her. Little did she know this would be her life. This is the story of before she took on the name Hrafn, before she came into RPs.
Anna had just woken up, and Arya was still asleep, seeming like the happiest person in the world. Anna chuckled, and picked up her bow. The cabin was small, with logs predominantly taking up the walls. Inspecting the bow, she checked the string, made of coarse, bark twine. With a quiver, her hatchet, and knives, she headed to the main room, meeting her father, Johann at the door. He smiled, and in his baritone voice, asked, "Ready for more of the old ways?" Anna eccentrically nodded. Her father then opened the door and in the dark before dawn, said, "Your test is to find a piece of prey and kill it, preparing preferable. Ready?"
Anna then nocked an arrow, stepping as not to alert anything to her presence. A twig snapped, as a rabbit harmlessly stepped into her sights. Pulling the arrow back, she eyed it and let go, hitting the rabbit in the leg to disable it, and then she killed it, praying to the All-Father. Then, she skinned, and prepared the meat, bringing it back. Johann nodded, and took the hide and meat from her. "A fine job, child. The rabbit hadn't lost much blood." Anna said, "I don't think so." Johann hugged her, telling her to wash the small amounts of blood off of her arms. Arya came down, Freyja in tow. Arya looked at the rabbit, and said, "You guys went hunting again?" Anna nodded. "Yup, sister." The mechanic wrapped her arms around Anna, as she said, "Little tight." Freyja laughed, and asked, "Hrafn(Anna), Kraka(Arya), you two are as close as those species can be, closer than even the best father daughter relationship out there! Anyways, do you want to get the firewood?" Anna grabbed her axe, heading to the log and wood trunks. Grabbing one, she sliced it into quarters, piling them until she had sixteen.
More to come!
