Hidden nodded. "Little bundles of fur, aren't they." she purred. "Though they got young minds of warriors in there somewhere. I'm surprised your still sane with these little kits." she chuckled.
Stub eyed the moss ball carefully, planning his next attack. "Do you want to play with us? You can be on my team," Stub offered, smiling brightly at Sparrow. "We never do teams. You just want to win," Patch scoffed, lightly batting the tom's ear. "Not that you can't play with us anyway," she added with a glance at Sparrow, nudging the ball further away when Stub went for it again. What neither kit didn't notice was Red, circling around the small group until she was in the perfect position to sneak the ball away while Patch was distracted with Sparrow. The little tabby zipped off again, crouching down to hide in the taller grasses.
Satisfied that the kits were making a new friend, Wanderer gave Sparrow one more smile before turning to the tom and Hidden. The black she-cat had introduced herself already, and yet Wanderer had yet to offer her own name! That wouldn't do. "Many call me the Wanderer," she meowed, glancing from one cat to the other. "And yes, I am giving them up, so to speak. I have been caring for them as of late, but these kits are not my own. Soon it will be time for me to move on, and I am afraid they will not be able to manage the journey." She had certainly grown to care about them, but they would be better off with a permanent home. Perhaps one day they might decide to travel as she did, but for now, they needed a safe place to grow up.
Acorn watched the little kits tromp around, reminding him so much about his. "I... I think I want to take Patch with me." His eyes laid lovingly on the young kit. "That is... If I could. I heard of these so called "Clans" around here, and I was thinking to join one. You know, leave my old life behind. But I want her to come with me." Acorn's eyes met Wanderer's eyes. "Wanderer, If I could take her with me I promise to keep her full fed, always happy, and protect her with my life."

Wanderer laughed in response to Hidden's remark. "Indeed," she agreed. "Always insisting on coming with me, but not much beyond this area is safe for them." The immediate area was unclaimed by any Clan, leaving it fair game for any passing rogue or even predator. Normally Wanderer would make a den near a border, just in case she ran into trouble. Not many rogue would chase her into Clan territory, and so far very few Clans had had an issue with her entering their territory since she didn't hunt there. Hearing Acorn's serious confession Wanderer tilted her head, though her kind smile didn't fade. "That is all well and good, but it isn't up to me," she responded, glancing over her shoulder to where the kit in question was playing with her friends. "You'll have to take that up with Patch."

Sparrow looked back at the kits, her gaze warm and loving. She liked Red; the small she-cat was shy, yet alert, but full of energy that all kits have. Sparrow was shy herself, but didn't like to show it much, and her mother had taught her to always be alert and wary of anyone. Even the most passive cat or creature could turn on you if the situations were right.

((Ello! :) I know this thread's a bit old, but I found it and would love to adopt one of the kitties! Is it still active?))
A cinnamon colored tabby she-cat stalked a mouse, her mouth watering at the thought of prey. The little rodent stood as it heard something, and the she-cat made a messy leap towards the mouse. She caught it, barely, but was pleased and ended it's life with a sharp nip to the spine. Her ears pricked as she heard the sound of a group of cats, and she hesitated, thinking of her prey, but padded towards the group anyway. She wove through the bushes, avoiding the brambles, and reached a clearing where a small group of cats and three kits talked and played. She padded forward and dropped her catch at the feet of a brown tabby she-cat, seemingly the leader of the group, or meeting, or whatever this was. Her gaze warmed as she watched the kits play, but a little red she-cat caught her eye. She seemed less social than the two other kits, and was silent. She turned back to the 'leader', and meowed, "Um... Hi. I'm Holly, one of the rogues that live in this forest. I was hunting and scented your group." Holly glanced at the kits, and finished, "Are they yours? They seem quite friendly."
((Yup! I was just waiting for the others to post, but it looks like they may not. You're welcome to join in.))
Ah, another guest! Wanderer glanced up as the tabby she-cat approached, carrying fresh-kill. It was mouse, if her nose wasn't deceiving her. Wanderer blinked in surprise when the visitor dropped the mouse, seemingly for her. How kind, she thought, waving her tail in greeting.
"Well met, Holly," she meowed cheerfully. "I'm called Wanderer."
She gave the mouse a brief sniff before folding some grass over it. It would be a nice snack for the kits to share later.
"Oh, and no, they aren't mine," she added, almost having forgotten the other she-cat's question. "I've taken them in for the time being, each for different reasons. I'll be leaving this area soon, so I am trying to help them find families before I go."

Sparrow looked at the new she-cat, she looked friendly. Sparrow hesitated before padding over to the kits. Maybe she could talk to Red? It would be nice if she could adopt her, if Red wanted to come.
Hidden yawned and stretched out. "Honestly, this is the most I've talked to any cat. I talked so little when I was a kit, I could barely remember my own voice!" she chuckled and shook moss from her pelt. She sat down and watched the kits play. Honestly, she wouldn't mind any of them joining her, but then again, the thought of raising a kit worried her slightly.
Wanderer laughed lightly in response, following Hidden's gaze to the kits. "The spirits must have given me your talkative nature, then," she meowed, watching the kits slow to a stop for a rest. "I am told I talk enough for two cats."
The three kits had indeed decided on a much-needed break to catch their breath. The moss ball was set aside while they stretched out on the patch of shorter grasses. Even Red, normally even shy of her denmates, joined the other two kits. Red was the first to notice Sparrow's approach, but surely if the she-cat had intended them harm something would have already happened. Besides, Wanderer was letting her stay. Sure, the traveling she-cat was always trusting and welcoming to anyone, but if any of these cats were dangerous Wanderer would have already gathered the trio together and fled like always.
Patch and Stub noticed Sparrow soon after, and shifted slightly to make a bit more space for her if she wanted to join them.

Sparrow smiled warmly at them and sat down. "Hi!" She meowed a bit shyly. She didn't know why she was shy of the kits, they were just kits, no one that hurt or judge her meanly!

Hollylight padded forward silently, looking at the group of kits. Her ears flicked, Wanderer had said they needed to be taken... It did get lonely in the forest, with the occasional visitor. Her gaze landed on a little red she-kit, who seemed to have stolen the moss ball that the other two kits had been playing with. A smile formed on her face as the two kits- a patched silver-and-white she-kit, and a black and white tom with a stubby little tail- chased after the red she-kit. She wrapped her tail over her paws, watching the kits chase each other. She turned to Wanderer, and asked hesitantly, "You said you wanted to find the kits families... Could I maybe take one with me? I live in the forest here, by a small pond. It's perfectly safe, even for kits."
((Sorry for the wait! I've been ridiculously busy as of late.))
"Hello!" The three kits chorused, watching the grown cat with big eyes. They had seen other grown-ups before, but Wanderer was the only one that ever seemed to pay them any mind. Even little Red seemed interested. "Hmmm..." Stub mewed after a moment. They needed something to talk about if they were going to become friends. "Oh, I know! What's your favorite fresh-kill, Sparrow? Mine's vole."
Aw, too bad. Hidden was good company, but Wanderer knew better than most when it was time to go it was just time. Before Wanderer could wish her farewell, Holly had asked about adopting one of the kits and Hidden had swiftly corrected her. "That is correct," she added with a thankful glance at Hidden. "The kits will be deciding who they wish to live with, not me." She paused to glance over her shoulder in order to check on the young cats in question. "Right now the little ones are taking a rest. I'm sure they would not mind your company, should you wish to speak with them."
