This September, but BGIII doesn't come out until sometime 2023. If it's late in the year (i.e. after August 2023) I'll be back in Canada by then so we'll only have a 2 hour time difference
I'm aware I can buy it on Steam rn I just don't want to get such a huge game in early access

Yeah most games I would definitely wait until the official release And that's quite a long ways away I'm definitely gonna need a reminder

When I have time I'm gonna look more into it. Is there a list of classes that will be available? I'm assuming so, if it is in early access right now

I believe it will be all of the PHB races and classes/subclasses at the very least

Epic i didn't read all 30something books in the Legend of Drizzt series to NOT fight him when BGIII comes out

Do you think it is worth reading those books?

I think they have some big flaws, especially in the more recent novels (yeah it's. still ongoing) but I'd recommend them to people I know who might like these fantasy/adventure/action books. I think you'd enjoy them actually. As much as I didn't like some parts (and I really didn't like the main characters i.e. Drizzt and his party) it didn't stop me from reading through and I don't regret it that much so yeah I think it was worth it

Perhaps I shall look into them in that case. I don't have 66 books on my to read list, after all lol

Yessssssssss Chronologically you should start with "Homeland"
They kept me entertained through my final year of university and led me down a rabbit hole of drow-related media

Do you have any other recommendations for drow-related stuff?

The Starlight and Shadows trilogy by Elaine Cunningham, although I still do recommend reading it at least until like. After book 8 or 9 of Legend of Drizzt because some things won't make sense
Starlight and Shadows had some major issues with pacing that I didn't like but I think Liriel was a great drow protagonist (drowtagonist) and I liked her soooooooooo much better than Drizzt. Also the ending to the trilogy was very touching
