Two cases you stayed asleep?! I have at least 1 lucid dream every week. Most of which i can control.... this usally ends with Dipper Pines in my house and me eating alot, but not getting fat. I was Dipper Pines at camp the two weeks I was gone. It was wonderful anyway, back on topic. I had a lucid dream while I was at camp but it got interrupted by "Ladies, it's time to get up" and I forgot about it since then because being a CIT is a lot of mental work and I had no time to write it down. I just remember being conscious.

when I'm having a nightmare and start becoming I'm aware of it I just keep it going because if it suddenly turned happy the story wouldn't make sense

honestly most of my dreams are naturally lucid, always have been. i've never had sleep paralysis. i've astral projected once but i woke up and almost had a panic attack so i didn't do that again

Mostly, with my dreams it tends to be a chose your own adventure story. I wouldn't say they are always lucid, some of them seem so real it can be hard to tell. I will say that I have a time remembering dreams. I notice changes in scenery within the dreams too however, I don't have the willpower to change it at times. Like last night, I knew I was dreaming by the environment, the area kept changing and the way to get up to the water slides were extremely unsafe. Despite knowing I was dreaming, the emotions I have in the dreams prevent me from venturing outside of it. I believe this is a fail safe for me since I'm more into the dream signs than I am actually having a strange life-like adventure. But anyway, when I come to forks in the road so to speak it consciously can choose where to go verses the dream just going somewhere. In most cases, you just remember taking a certain path, but with me, I remember choosing the different paths. In the dream I had last night, it was like an advanced jungle gym to get up to this water slide like thing and there were to different paths: A path of bridge like things or a path of balance beams. The balance beams intrigued me so I chose to go up that path. And then when I was near the top, I slipped and my boyfriend caught me before I fell down probably about 100 feet XD that would have not been fun. I recall feeling like I would die but at the same time I knew I wouldn't if that made any sense at all. And then I became very afraid to continue on the course to the slide, the amount of fear actually should have woke me up but I chose to go across the last obstacle (which changed from a balance beam to a weird thing with two other paths thanks I can't exactly describe. I just remember being confused and conflicted with the paths) once I got to the other side, I saw the slide. But before I went down it I had a vision of bats carrying me down the slide. So I looked at my boyfriend and ran back down the dangerous course being chased by bats. I just had to think of bats didn't I? I got back on the ground and that was the end of the dream. It went black from there.
Wow. That was long. Anyway, for me, I more consciously observe dreams through the eyes of my persona or on occasion a third person. It's really weird to describe. It doesn't happen all the time, but frequent.

omg i get what you're saying wolf! a lot of my dreams tend to be third person and i observe them, but i still have control over them in mine, but only of what i do. last night i had a first person nightmare, which is what has been happenig almost every night. i also struggle with mental illness related depersonalization (unreality, thinking you're fake etc.), and so a lot of times i confuse my dreams as valid memories that happened, even if they physically couldn't happen in this world. recently i've also been under the impression i'm in a dream, and that i'm not real, this is all a dream, etc etc. sorry if that's triggering to anyone. but yeah, tl;dr my dreams are always lifelike and 9/10 i have control over them, but only over what i do.
