As her name implies, Wanderer often travels the world in order to meet new cats and swap stories with anyone that feels up to it. Recently, she has come across three kits. She has been hanging about a small area in the forest, making a den in a bramble thicket near the edge of a small clearing. Though the four cats have only been living together for a moon, the kits have quickly outgrown the den and Wanderer's legs itch to journey again. However, the kits are still too young for such a task. Wanderer has decided it would be best to find them all permanent places to live.
The eldest kit, Stub, is a black-and-white tom with blue eyes and unusually long back legs. It's easy to see where his name came from. Stub is very outgoing and loves meeting new cats. Although he loves exploring, he doesn't want to travel the world like Wanderer does. It would be exciting, but he knows he would miss all the friends he made along the way. Maybe one day he'll grow into his over-sized paws, but that seems unlikely. Stub was originally a kittypet, but strayed too far from his nest and got lost. He ended up going in entirely the wrong direction and met up with Wanderer, who offered to watch over him until he could get home. In the end, he decided he liked being a wild cat more than a kittypet. Stub is six moons old and has only been with Wanderer for half a moon. (Stub is a full-blooded Manx cat.) Adopted by ★Echobrook the Reindeer★.
The middle kit, Patch, is a gray-and-white she-cat with green eyes. She's very laid-back and enjoys afternoon naps. Although she may seem lazy at first glance, Patch is always up for games whenever she's awake. The little she-cat seems more interested in hunting than fighting. Patch's mother died when she was three moons old. Wanderer found her scrounging for food around a twoleg nest in the woods and invited the kit to join up with her. She is five moons old and has been with Wanderer for almost a moon now. Adopted by Citrine.
The youngest kit, Red, is a yellow-eyed, reddish brown tabby she-cat with a white muzzle and paws, in addition to a white splash on her chest. Her fur refuses to lay flat, especially around her neck, despite her best efforts. She is very active and loves to play, though she is rather shy and quiet. It took ages for her to speak to Wanderer, even though the adult cat was the one caring for her. She gets along well with the other kits, though she doesn't seem completely comfortable with them. Wanderer met Red's mother shortly after Red was weaned. Red was the smallest and weakest kit in the litter of five, so Red's mother had no choice but to abandon her in order to keep her four stronger kittens alive. Red's mother felt terrible about it, but there wasn't another option. Wanderer told the she-cat she'd take Red with her and keep her safe to ease the young mother's mind. She is nearly four moons old and has been with Wanderer since she was barely a moon old. Adopted by Jadestone.
Wanderer has grown quite attached to her three charges and has enjoyed her time with them, but it's high time she moved on. She wants to make sure the three kits find good, stable families to call their own, be they Clan or otherwise. Wanderer has been spreading word for the past few days that the kits are looking for a home. Right now, the four cats are in the small clearing. The three kits are playing with a ball of moss while Wanderer keeps a look-out for guests.
[As stated in the title, this is an interactive character adoption thread. Rather than just posting to claim one of the kits, you'll have to roleplay it out. There is no need to fill out an application to join; just describe your character in your first post, or include a picture if you would like. You don't really have to worry about convincing Wanderer to let the kit go with you. If the kit decides they like you and want to leave with you, Wanderer won't stop them without a really good reason.]
Rules- 1. Naturally, Falcon's rules apply. 2. No godmoding or powerplaying, though since this thread will have no actual combat this shouldn't be an issue. 3. This is not first-come, first-served. I will be seriously considering where these three kits end up. Please don't be upset if someone else gets the kit you want. 4. You are welcome to rename the kit once you adopt it. 5. I'll be playing Wanderer as well as the three kits, though once the kits have been adopted they will of course belong to their new roleplayer.

As the wind blew in the loner's face, it blew away the clear tears dropping from his eyes. As the tabby tom walked away, he could hear his kits mewling behind him, their mother yelling at him to never look at her again. He broke into a run, wind slashing at his sides. He wanted to only concentrate on running, but it wasn't enough. As he closed his emerald-green eyes, he imaged his kits as big, strong cat wandering every which way. The loner known as "Acorn" kept on running, running until he thought he could hear his kits mewling, and their mother lightly telling them a story. But as he ran father, he popped open his eyes, panting yet looking forward.
"What?" He thought, looking at the kits. Acorn thought he was imagining things, but he blinked and it didn't go away. He sat down, lovingly watching the happy kits play, as the mother tried to get them to settle down. The story was great, and the kits seemed to like it too. Happily, knowing that life will still go on, whether it is in his own family or not, he turned around and began to leave.
(Alright, I don't like role playing as other characters, so you can role play as Wanderer c: If not, tag me in another post and I will change it so I'll role play as her. )

((Oh, don't worry about that. I probably should have mentioned it, but I'll be playing Wanderer as well as the kits until they get adopted. I'd better clarify that in the first post.))
Wanderer's eyes flicked to the newcomer when he emerged from the underbrush. The tom seemed distracted, possibly even distressed. Unwilling to let any cat be alone in such as state, Wanderer tipped her head up and called out to him. "Leaving so soon? Are you not here to see the kits?" She asked, waving her tail in greeting. Red jolted to a stop, barely managing not to stumble forward. The little kit glanced up fearfully, only to relax when she noticed Wanderer wasn't taking action against the strange tom. The other kits stopped their game shortly afterward to stare curiously at the tabby tom. After a moment, Stub shrugged and was the first to return to the game, content to let their guardian talk to the visitor. The other kits joined in shortly afterward.

Sparrow followed the scent carefully through the forest. She loved to watch kits play with each other and listen to the stories told to them by their parents. She wasn't sure though if the she-cat she scented was their mother; her scent was quite different from theirs. The brown tabby she-cat had rarely been welcome by other mothers so she had taken to keeping hidden, but it seemed like hidden wasn't working well for her because she kept stepping on twigs and crunching her paws down on leaves. She hoped this she-cat would be nice and she also hoped she would be able to keep her mouth shut. Sparrow had many times over-talked and annoyed some of the mothers, but some just smiled and talked with her.

((Discord- None of the kits have been claimed yet. I'll pick who they go home with based on their personalities.)) In the middle of greeting the tom, Wanderer's ears alerted her to another cat in the vicinity. It was impossible to miss the crunch of forest debris underpaw. Though she remained facing the tom, the she-cat's gaze shifted to the general direction of the second cat. Wanderer couldn't see the other cat yet, and could only barely catch the scent. "And you there, sneaking about," she meowed playfully. "You do not have to hide. Feel free to join us."
Meanwhile, Red had gained possession of the moss ball and was trying to outrun Stub. Thanks to the black-and-white tom's long back legs, he quickly caught up, but not in time to intercept her throw to Patch. The gray kit pounced on the ball before it could roll away and took off with it toward a large, flat stone nearby, her friends in hot pursuit.
(Okay. I shall now jump in) The she-cat wandered near the cats. Her name was Hidden, as that was what she usually was. Hidden. Her black pelt was sleek and her copper eyes blazing. She watched sile fly from the shadows, her tail swaying.
Sparrow sighed in relief when she she-cat called her over to them. She peeked out of the bushes slowly, a bit wary of the tom that was there as well. "Hello?" She called hesitantly and stepped out into the clearing. She gave the kits a small friendly nod and stood a bit ways away so as not to scare them. They looked about the age to become apprentices in a Clan. She herself had been in a Clan, but she took up her mother's work as a loner, a traveler, but she always had a home to come back to just as her mother had.
The tabby she-cat Wanderer had expected, but not the second cat speaking from the gloom of the forest. She hadn't even noticed the other cat's presence. "Greetings, friend," Wanderer meowed with a smile, posture relaxed and welcoming. None of these cats had any ill intentions toward the kits, so she had no problem with them being around. Even if her instincts were off--which they rarely ever were--the spirits of the forest would have no doubt turned these cats away before they reached this place.
The mysterious visitor startled the kits, who had ended up on the other side of the clearing during their game. The trio quickly moved back closer to the center, Patch remembering to pick up the ball at the last moment. Wanderer's openness to strangers had been rubbing off on them, but they still knew to be a little wary. The kits noticed Sparrow had come out of hiding then, and Stub and Patch hurried over to greet her while Red trailed behind them. "Hello!" Stub meowed excitedly, hopping to a stop nearby. "My name's Stub!" The gray-and-white she-kit skillfully batted the ball away when Stub tried to discreetly reach for it. "I'm Patch," she added, shooting her friend a look. The youngest of the three hung back, unsure of Sparrow and not quiet knowing what to do. "That's Red," Patch added. "She's really shy."

Sparrow smiled at the kits and dipped her head in greeting. "Hello! I'm Sparrow! Its nice to meet you three," she mewed smiling understandingly to Red. She had been shy around other cat when she was younger as well. She looked up at Hidden and dipped her head to her and the tom. Unlike her mother, Sparrow was more wary of a stranger until she was sure they were no threat to her or anyone else around her.

"They are quite magnificent." He couldn't help but purr, glancing across the kits. But one, known as Patch, caught his eye. "Are you giving them up?" He already seemed to love the little playful kit, reminding him and his litter-mates when they were young. She seemed laid-back, so unaware of everything else going on. Her eyes seemed to carve a hole into his heart, and they had that beautiful glint that his mate used to have. His face softened into a nice smile, purring.

Stub eyed the moss ball carefully, planning his next attack. "Do you want to play with us? You can be on my team," Stub offered, smiling brightly at Sparrow. "We never do teams. You just want to win," Patch scoffed, lightly batting the tom's ear. "Not that you can't play with us anyway," she added with a glance at Sparrow, nudging the ball further away when Stub went for it again. What neither kit didn't notice was Red, circling around the small group until she was in the perfect position to sneak the ball away while Patch was distracted with Sparrow. The little tabby zipped off again, crouching down to hide in the taller grasses.
Satisfied that the kits were making a new friend, Wanderer gave Sparrow one more smile before turning to the tom and Hidden. The black she-cat had introduced herself already, and yet Wanderer had yet to offer her own name! That wouldn't do. "Many call me the Wanderer," she meowed, glancing from one cat to the other. "And yes, I am giving them up, so to speak. I have been caring for them as of late, but these kits are not my own. Soon it will be time for me to move on, and I am afraid they will not be able to manage the journey." She had certainly grown to care about them, but they would be better off with a permanent home. Perhaps one day they might decide to travel as she did, but for now, they needed a safe place to grow up.

Sparrow chuckled softly as she watched the kits, but even though her eyes were on the kits, her ears were listening to Wanderer. She felt her heart leap as the she-cat confirmed that she wanted to give the kits permanent homes. Sparrow looked up at Wanderer in curiosity, her pale amber-green eyes were lit up with hope as she herself could never have kits of her own.
