Ian shook his head a little. "It's fine. I'm fine," he said. "I think I remembered something, but it doesn't matter." He straightened his neckerchief out a bit, then stood up, not slipping on the grass this time. He walked over to Val, then extended his hand to help her up to her feet. He kept glancing back to where Sanaa and Naomi were fighting, frowning slightly. "I really feel like helping them out," he admitted with a little laugh. It was hard to judge whether or not Ian's laugh was to lightened the mood or if it was a panicked one.
Noel quickly moved to the side, evading the mallet that was swung his way. He brought his sword up defensively as well, but then reminded himself that Pippa didn't have a weapon. While Chevy still had her mallet in action, Noel quickly moved forward, swinging at her side. His blade wasn't straight like others, rather, it had little wave-like curves. Noel liked using it, though, because most people weren't used to it.
While his sister was older, Noel knew that he could probably keep up with her.
The chimera seemed to slow a little when Nathan spoke, but overall, it seemed largely unaffected. Alex swallowed, but was glad for the little breather Nathan had given him. He moved to the side quickly when the chimera looked around for the source of the voice, then struck it's flank, drawing a clean cut. The chimera seemed to screech in pain. It's snake-like tail zipped towards Alex and he barely managed to not get bitten to death by throwing himself to the ground and rolling away.
Alex got up again a few meters away, panting a little. Not having had enough to eat and drink was catching up to him slowly. "Nathan, keep going," he called out.

Nick glanced at her, keeping a calm smile, even though his eyes looked a little troubled. "Losing people close to you... it sadly happens. Not many people know this anymore at this point, as I've been gone for a while, but I left because I lost somebody close to me." Nick paused, wondering if he really should continue. Then again, if he couldn't tell his sister, then who could he tell? "There was an attack here years ago. I was... even more reckless back then, but in the end, I was not fast enough to keep my best friend from dying."
His voice hasn't risen or changed tone at all, though Nick regarded Prue for a moment. If he was already telling her this, then he could just add the other part as well. "Have I told you that my parents died before I came to camp? It was a car crash. I managed to protect my younger sister by injuring myself, but my twin sister also didn't survive." Another paused followed. "I think what I'm trying to tell you is: you aren't alone, sis. I understand what you're feeling."
Lucia looked at her for a few moments, then put her plate down at the table, sliding in next to JiHyun. "I think you need company," she finally said lightly, grinning. "I doubt my own father is going to strike me down with lightning because I break a rule." She ate a piece of bacon before continuing. "Yeah, disappearing people isn't all that normal, but then again, what is normal in our lives?"
Lucia paused for a second, then giggled. "Have I told you the story of how my English teacher ended up being a monster that wanted to kill me?"
Naomi bit back a curse quickly checking to see how badly she'd been injured, from what she could tell it didn't look like it'd be life threatening. Naomi glared up at Apollo lifting up her sword with both hand despite the pain.
"It all depends on what you consider a defeat." Naomi responded moving towards him with a confident pace. The problem was Naomi didn't think she'd be able to easily knock the sword out of his hand. To most losing your sword was considered a defeat, but injuring her left arm meant holding up a block and trying to knock the sword out of his hand would be a painful experience to say the least.
Although dying would also be painful, so maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Citrine
Alethea looked over somewhat surprised to be asked a question like that. It caught her off guard that it took a second for her to actually realize she was the one being asked the question.
"..For my siblings? Yes, for the campers out on the quest definitely and for everyone who's dissapeared. yeah I guess i'm worried about tommorow for them." She paused looking thoughtful at the fire. Imagining everything that could possibly go wrong, on the victory side of things even those probabilities didn't seem to ruin their chances to no success. It'd just be harder. "But..i'm not really worried I guess. Anyways, your Lisianthus? Right?" Alethea asked. Cloverheart ✿ (Sorry i took so long to respond)

Pippa clenched her teeth, leaping backwards. She came to a skidding stop, then repositioned herself. She sent a sideways glance at Noel, waiting to see if he would attack. Her plan would soon be put into action.
Valentine looked up at him for a moment in thought, then took his hand, pulling herself up with a 'thank you'. Standing by him, she brushed her pants off and looked back towards the temple. "So do I, but what can we do?" Val laughed half-heartedly, a tone of desperation clawing at her voice. She huddled her arms and frowned, thinking. Hopefully they would be able to figure it out.
Lisianthus nodded, taking a seat next to her. "That's me." She commented, looking at the fire. "Alethea, yeah?" She asked without looking at the other camper. She wasn't big on making friends, but with the impending battle, she was beginning to think of her own mortality.

No, not yet," JiHyun said, perking up. She was curious of how it went down. If Lucia was still alive, it meant she probably won the battle. How did she do it? Was it gruesome? Which weapons did she have? Was it with bare hands? So many questions ran around in her head. JiHyun nodded eagerly. "Do tell." (Citrine) --- Minerva sat down picking at her food. She had lost her appetite, going with the disappearances. She put her fork down and sighed, looking into nothingness. Her eyes lost focus and ended up "staring" at [insert active person name].
"Naomi, don't do anything stupid," Sanaa murmured, hoping that Apollo wouldn't pick up on her voice. She was not going to stand for her girlfriend getting sliced in half by her father. That actually sounded very... messed up. Sanaa quickly glanced towards Val and Ian, letting out a small breath. So, they were safe, but this fight had been going on for far too long. How could Apollo get defeated, though? If this was a spar, then defeat could be counted as the person being backed into a corner with no way out that wouldn't kill them. The 'no way without getting killed' wouldn't apply to him, but Sanaa figured that it was still their best way to go.
But how could they do that? No way seemed good to her; they all ended with somebody getting hurt.
"Bang on the barrier and hope it doesn't slam us back into the ground?" Ian suggested with a lopsided smile. He wasn't sure what they could do, but he wanted to do something at least. And if that "something" was banging his fists on an invisible barrier, then so be it. At least he'd be doing something then, right? It was still weird for him to think that the guy Naomi and Sanaa were fighting was supposed to be Apollo. Like, the actual God. Not to mention, his mother was Demeter. He had known for a while, but had always repressed the weirdness of the whole situation.
Lucia grinned, leaning on the table with her elbows. "Ok, so, in my last year of middle school, I had this English teacher who called me out for little things all the time. Like, I spaced out for a second and he belittled me for it. I'm not easily put down by that, honestly, I just thought that it was weird for the teacher to single me out." Lucia paused, eating another piece of bacon. She swallowed, then continued. "So, that went on for a while, until one day he told me to stay behind in class. Didn't think much of it, until he suddenly told me to follow him. I thought something weird was going on when we left the school, honestly."
Lucia stopped for another moment, smile turning a little more sheepish. "Long story short, he turned into a monster and tried attacking me. I didn't have any weapon on me, so I kind of just... had a storm appear and struck him with lightning. I think my city was a little confused by the sudden storm that appeared." Lucia laughed, shaking her head a little. "So that's that story. It hasn't happened again yet, luckily."
Chevy brought the end of her mallet up a little where her handle was at with her hands positioned in the middle to avoid getting her hands cut by her brother's sword that struck her side with her dodging it by using the end of the weapon, she didn't realize or she just plain forgot that Noel's sword was more curved then others that she had fought but it did however mimic claws from a monster which she glanced over at Pippa with her violet eyes brightening a little to show madness sweeping in the area since hey, she wanted to see how the two would react to the 'minor spread of madness' but she would stop it if it went too far.
Henri was still shooting anything small and round at empty soda cans that were flung into the air with one of the cans landing on the Athena table near one of the older campers named Minerva...? The Hermes counselor wasn't very good at remebering names sometimes so he instead gave them nicknames that defined them or just the regular shortening of their names, "eh... sorry!.."
Satoru was currently reading a book that he somehow smuggled into the pavilion without any of the children of tricksters noticing since he needed to keep thinking of ways to keep his own stuff safe from them- especially the counselor who had it hard wired into his brain as he looked up from the book that he had also used to protect himself from any falling cans or fruit pits/seeds at one of the tables he recalled being for the children of Athena and he noticed that one of the Hermes' campers flying cans ended up almost hitting a older camper. "And I'm suppose to be the child here..."

Prue had sat down on the edge of the cot when Nick had gotten a little bit of a troubled look in his eyes which she of course suspected that being a demigod meant that there would be death coming to someone close to you from friend to family but she wasn't expecting to hear her brother's story of the past which after a moment when he finished did she go over and out of nowhere give him a hug which to some might seem rather odd with her being taller then him but she of course didn't care at all, funny how he could keep a clam smile and without his tone changing like most did whenever speaking of something that terrible had happen.

Nathan felt a sense of pride to realize his charmspeak was working though he knew to make it stronger meant he needed to pur more emotion into it, "You've been though the ring a lot huh? Probably need some sleep... why don't you close your eyes for a bit hm?" he spoke in a much more soothing tone like as if trying to soothe a savage beast which he of course was doing but his voice also had some force into it only to be more persuasive which he hoped it was.

Valentine watched in silence for a moment, biting her cheek in frustration. Suddenly, a plan formed in her mind. "Actually.. there may be something we can do." She pulled Ian aside, sending a glance at Apollo. "Sun god--he's really egotistical, right? So we play to his narcissism. Obviously he can still hear us through the barrier, maybe we can come up with something to say that might distract him." She looked up at him, eager to hear his thoughts on the plan. Val was no child of Athena, but she was pretty smart.

Minerva jolted up in her seat, her lips just barely stopping a small yelp. Brought back to Earth by the flying can, which was now on her table, she flicked her aimless gaze upwards to meet a male. One of the Hermes counselors. She waved it off, not saying anything. Small flaps of her hand tried shooing him away. "It's fine, really."(Lily~Myth) --- JiHyun grinned. "A sudden storm? That's pretty cool." She rested her chin in her hand. "I wish I had cool powers like that," she sighed. Her smile was still plastered to her face, remembering she was able to wield pretty much any weapon. That should be pretty cool... right? She shook her head slightly. "I think I had a teacher that singled me out, too. Never got around to attacking me, though." (Citrine)
Noel frowned a little at Chevy's gaze, but kept applying pressure either way. He was a child of Dionysus himself, madness wouldn't affect him as quickly as other campers. Still, like this, he had his back open to any attempts that Pippa could make. He decided quickly that that wouldn't do and twisted away from Chevy forcefully. He skidded to a halt, then let vines grow out of the ground around both of them. He liked trapping his foes before finishing them off, but he figured that at least Chevy wouldn't be held back by them for long. They shared the same father, after all.
Nick froze for a short second when Prue hugged him, then relaxed. He laughed a little, shaking his head. "Thank you, but it's fine, really. More or less, at least. Most of my family died almost eight years ago, and my friend around four years ago. You never quite stop thinking about people you've lost, but it starts getting easier to talk about at one point." He paused, then hugged Prue back for a second before escaping her embrace. Nick sat on the edge of his bed, picking his shoes up. "I think to make sure that nobody else dies, we should attack sooner than planned. Let's eat dinner and discuss that with the rest afterwards."
He got up carefully, but found that his side wasn't hurting anymore. That was good. "Prue, we'll have an important part in this rescue mission, anyway. The two of us are going to move in first and check for any traps."

Alex felt the charmspeak wash over him a little as well. He yawned for a second, then shook his head to snap out of it, dodging another attack. The chimera was searching around for Nathan again, but it was moving much slower than before. Alex smiled, letting out a small breath. At least it seemed to be working. He aimed carefully with his sword, then swung as hard as possible, cutting off the snake-like part that was its tail.
The chimera moved quicker than he had expected afterwards. Roaring in pain, it turned around, managing to get Alex's left shoulder with a claw before he had fully moved away. A shout escaped his mouth, but he moved away as fast as possible still, clutching his sword. His breathing had quickened and it hurt a lot, but it was by far not a fatal injury.
Ian tilled his head, but nodded slowly. "Yeah, sure, let's do that," he replied, pulling on his neckerchief a little. What could he yell at a god? How great and mighty he was? If it was the Apollo from the myths he had heard of, then perhaps that could really work. Well, if it didn't work they'd probably end up getting killed painfully, wouldn't they? He had no ties to any of them except for Sanaa and maybe Naomi.
Lucia smiled. "My powers can be a little hard to control at times," she admitted. "But I'm sure you've got cool powers as a child of Ares as well." She paused when JiHyun mentioned a teacher, then added, "That's probably a good thing. I was scared for a second when it got attacked, honestly." She glanced over at the other person sitting at the table, eating his food.
"What about you, Pascal?" she asked him, grinning. "Ever got attacked by a teacher?"
Pascal looked over, looking at Lucia with a slightly raised eyebrow. "I used to live in the old world, also known as Europe, so yeah, had a pretty eventful life before coming here. Not like any of them could ever harm me." He sounded slightly arrogant while saying that, but his grin confirmed his claim.

JiHyun let a giggle slip past her lips. She cocked her head at Pascal's statement, wondering just how eventful his life was. Or if he was lying about his battle history. She mentally shrugged it off and turned to Lucia once more. "I want to know some more about being a demigod. I've only recently been claimed, so i haven't discovered all of the benefits." Taking time to think her phease over, she added, "Or the inconveniences."(Citrine)
"Are you sur-" Henri began before two flying cans bounced off his head which he looked back at his siblings who all smiled innocently but were all mentally pointing at the youngest newly claimed camper Satoru who was reading a book called Shakespeare? Maybe it had something to do with milkshakes... until he noticed a slingshot hidden from behind the book which he wasn't sure if he should be the proud camper or the scolding one as he was the oldest, well scolding wasn't his way of doing things unless it caused someone harm, injury or blowing things up.
Satoru looked calmly at the Hermes counselor before tucking the slingshot into his pants pocket quickly with the young boy not sure if he was caught but judging by the look he was getting away free and he only joined in because he was downright bored... he had read this book twelve times already though he had to admit that he had to get it back the same number of times since none of his stuff was safe from his roommates. ------------------------------------
Chevy grinned wildly a bit as she always loved the thrill of a battle mainly against monsters but simply training would be just and taking two steps back when Noel forcefully pushed back to strike again she believed awhile getting her hands back on the handle of the mallet before feeling something against her feet which she froze, her thoughts instantly going to cockroaches or zombies started to emerge from the ground however both theories were tossed aside when she realized that it was vines growing up from the ground at that she felt herself take a small breather as he knew her fears well- especially after literally jumping into his bed and screaming because there was the cursed bug on her pillow... that really was not a well kept secret at all.
------------
"No problem," Prue said with a soft smile as she figured he at least needed a hug or she did since she had never really lost anyone to death but only to the cruel chance of luck with her two guardians being the main focus of the attacks whenever she was around them and even more so when she was eleven years old though she had a feeling that she wasn't sent here before by her aunt only out of fear of losing her, "That sounds like a plan." She hadn't really eaten much or slept lately with the ever present nightmares lately and with everything that had been going on really as she then stood up from the bed which she sometimes forgot how tall she actually was until she was talking to someone, "Right.."
------------
Nathan got a little more of a confident boost when he saw that it was working more which he then realized it had also started to affect everyone else too as he needed to be careful now. "Easy now.., listen to me, close your eyes... go to sleep." he was focusing more on the monster but he would step in if his charmspeak actually affected the others and not the creature who was already pretty angry and in pain from having its tail cut off.

Yes, comple-" she didn't finish, two cans flying through the air. She closed her mouth, not wanting to waste her breath. "I'll leave you to it," she muttered. Minerva took her plate and looked for somewhere else to sit. Somewhere quieter, somewhere where she could think. She opted for the corner of a seemingly isolated table. Setting her plate down with minimal noise, she began to pick at her food once more.(Lily~Myth)
Once again, Naomi was now forcefully trying to get an attack on Apollo, all the while focusing on blocking his own attacks. This couldn’t keep up, Naomi was starting to tire from fighting (The injury was probably not helping)
“Sanaa?? Can you try to get Val and Ian in here??” Naomi hoped that Apollo - although listening -wasn’t paying that close attention to what she was saying.
Satoru had gotten out from the bench and walking over to the Athena camper in hopes of getting some insight into how to stop the Hermes campers from stealing his stuff and also perhaps make a new friend since he wanted to get to know most of the people here plus he didn't want any more influence from the trickster campers who he figured the next thing being taught was how to pick locks or making inventions to blow up. "Hello, I would like to apologize for them. My name is Satoru Yukimori-Jones."

Minerva had to withold a groan, instead letting it reverberate through her consciousness. Talking was not a favoured action, but she was also not one to be considered "mannerless". So, she swallowed her discomfort and replied with a dry, "Hello." She cringed at the raspiness of her voice; she disliked how her vocalization sounded like it scratched against the back of her throat. Minerva cleared her throat, hoping to clear her vocal chords of the small pinpricks climbing up the tunnel onto her tongue. (Lily~Myth)
