"Di immortals! That's awesome!" Chevy said in excitement at the ice wall Pippa created from where she was battling a couple of harpies with them avoiding her swinging mallet however couldn't get close enough to scratch though it was somewhat difficult to keep up with the more agile monsters, she created some grape vines at their feet to help keep me in place for a second but they easily broke free from them.
----
"Alright, coming down." Nathan said before doing the same thing that the Athena camper did however when he landed down on the ledge beside him did he stumble a little, "is... are those voices?" He then added in when he heard voices up ahead and for a moment he wondered if Lucia was apart of it though he also had a feeling that she might be back at camp as well.
-----
Prue held her ground with her fighting against the creatures but she was close enough to hear what both the goddess and her brother were talking about as she kept fighting them but they just kept coming, Is like a harpy beehive or something? she had no idea how many more were coming nor if there were other monsters that worked with the goddess.
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”
Ian shrugged a little, smiling at Val. "Guess that's as good a reason as any," he said, turning his head to look around a bit. "Any other things I should know about the camp? Would be a shame if I did something wrong seconds after arriving." He was joking while saying that, but a small part of him was actually nervous. Though, he was also excited about meeting the people Val had told him about. She'd said a few things about this 'Alex' already.
--
Noel didn't reply to either Pippa or Chevy. Rather, he concentrated on stabbing some of the monsters that were attacking them. Whenever he killed one of the harpies, it seemed like two new ones were made in place. While he knew that that couldn't be true, it was still a source of annoyance.
When Noel looked up, two things happened. The first thing he noticed, was that a large serpent-like creature was making its way into the cave, eyes almost glowing in the pale light. That thing looked dangerous with its large size.
The second thing he noticed, were two people appearing at the age of the cave. Now, that wouldn't have been a surprise, but the two were unmistakably Alex and Nathan.
"Guess the kidnapped campers helped themselves," he said.
Alex nodded. "Yeah, sounds like voices. Let's go check it out, I believe the campers are here," he replied. Drawing his sword, Alex motioned for Nathan to follow him. The voices weren't far away, so he guessed they were about to burst into some kind of battle. Well, not all that great when you could barely keep yourself on your feet, but he figured they could survive that, too.
As he had predicted, the second they came out of the tunnel, they emerged into a cave where chaos was raging. Still, Alex couldn't help a smile at the sight of the campers. They were back; they had managed to escape! He blinked back tears, then cleared his throat. "Let's go, Nathan."
--
Nick shifted his stance a little when she attacked him, trying to put some weight off his wrists. He glanced back at Prue for a moment, which earned him a scratch to his right arm. It did hurt, but he managed to not release any sound. Yeah, as if he'd give her that satisfaction.
"You say I'm not acting on my own orders?" the goddess asked. Nick felt her attacks grow harder and smirked a little. He'd hit a point.
"Apparently," he replied, moving to the side to avoid another hit. "I'm not sure whose orders you are following, but I'm guessing they got you by promising to make you more well known."
"Well, mister detective, you aren't wrong," she said, driving Nick farther backwards with an attack. "But what will that piece of information do for you?"
Nick glanced back, noting that she was driving him towards the large serpent. Sure, that didn't surprise him all that much. "There's the possibility of reasoning with you and not killing you."

Pippa turned her head as Noel spoke, a grin lighting up on her face. "They're okay!" She exclaimed, before putting up another wall to block an attack. She was glad--although she didn't know them very well, she knew that a lot of people cared for them, and she hated seeing her fellow campers sad.
Valentine pursed her lips in thought. "Not.. really. I guess, just don't be mean or anything. And don't stay up past curfew, haha." She closed her eyes with a smile, leaning on the side of the boat. "Oh, I can't wait for a decent meal. There are nymphs and satyrs, and you can eat and drink whatever you feel like having--oh, and the beach is gorgeous! And there are stables where we keep the Pegasi. I have one, his name is Socks. I can talk to horses, you know? And sea creatures--" Val paused, clamping her mouth shut. "Ah.. sorry. I got carried away." Looking over, she grinned at him. "You're gonna love it."
Nathan walked in after Alex to see that other campers were engaged in combat which he really wished he had his sword now but still he could charmpseak his way granted if he didn't pass out first and he felt a little sad that he didn't see Lucia in the crowd but felt better that she was safe in camp, "Yep... let's go!" He said awhile hopping into thee fight which in doing so he came back-to-back with the Dionysus camper waving a mallet like a flag.
"Gods! Your alive- we'll sort of you kinda look like ya'll crawled out of graves.... speaking of which distract n' smash!" Chevy was excited to see the kidnapped campers granted they looked like they've been to Hades and back but hey not even an aphodrite camper could stay well for long under these conditions as she soon listened the injured aphodrite counselor began to charmspeak an oncoming harpy to stun long enough for her to smash them into dust.
------
Prue managed to kill the two harpies that tried playing cloak and dagger with her as she saw that the kidnapped campers were safe- bloody yet still not down as they joined in to fight which she soon caught a glimpse of a large snake moving its wave into the cave which she wasn't sure if friend or foe but she made up her mind and fought her way though to at least strike the creature if it came in range of an unexpecting camper to fight it off if needed.
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”
Noel ducked away from an attack, furrowing his brows. "Keep your guard up," he reminded Pippa again. They were fine, yes, but it wasn't sure yet when the fight would be over. He knew that Nick had gone after the goddess, but that was about it. He'd lost sight of everything else with the flocks of harpies.
However, that changed the second he saw the giant serpent move again, eyes seemingly set on something in particular, but what?
Noel shook his head, deciding that he couldn't get to it fast enough, anyway.
Ian listened to her ramble on in interest. As much food as he wanted? That sounded great. He tilled his head. "Pegasi exist?" he said. "Woah. Can't say I've ever witnessed a real one, honestly."
He got up, stretching a little. He leaned onto a nearby railing, looking out across the ocean. "From what Sanaa's told me, it won't be too long until we arrive at the harbor now. I guess, at least." Ian laughed, letting the breeze mess with his hair some more. "I've only seen New York on some postcards people had on them, to be honest." He wasn't sure if a big city wouldn't overwhelm him, but he was willing to try.
Nick saw Alex and Nathan and a smile took over his face. Of course they wouldn't just sit around and wait to be rescue. Alex would have never let himself live that down. Still, while he was happy, they had another problem to deal with.
Schooling his expression, he regarded the goddess. "You want to be more well known?" he said. "At least at the camp, something about that could be done." This fight was about talking, it wasn't about brute strength. Nick knew that if he used the right words, he could be able to break through to her. However, if she was following orders, what would happen if she was swayed?
"How would your little camp manage that?" she replied, moving in for another attack. Nick brought his sword up, blocking it and leading it off to the side. Her attacks were still predictable, but the fact that the serpent was coming closer was more disconcerting. It looked much like a giant, poisonous snake. That thought didn't sit all too well with him.
Nick opened his mouth, but another voice interrupted him. "We can build a cabin for you," Alex called out, coming to stand next to Nick. "That should be a start, right? An official cabin at the camp for any children you may have?" He swayed slightly, but sent Nick a thankful smile when he let him lean onto him.
"I could talk to the gods, too," Nick added. It wasn't a straight up lie, honestly. He could talk to his father after hunting him down, or any other god he could bother. Still, he hated most of them or they hated him, so there was that to consider. "Show them what they did and that they cannot treat other gods like that."
Mnemosyne's laugh almost made him wince. It seemed pained, but also like she was pushed too far. "And I should believe that? After all I've done to the camp?"
"Yes," Alex said, and Nick felt like believing him. He sounded sincere, but was he? "You were acting on orders as Nick has said. It was not your personal fault for falling for a well constructed trap. I can oversee the building of the cabin myself so that it gets done." Nick saw him clutch onto his sword; he was obviously nervous. Nobody could blame him for that, though. There was no actual way for them to kill her right now.
Alex swallowed with a grimace, then added, "Please, believe me. Don't let your children suffer for something that led you astray. Let them live here like everybody else, proud of their godly parent." Nick managed to not laugh at that and simply nodded.
Something in his voice must have sounded genuine enough - and hey, maybe Alex was genuine about it - because they goddess lowered her weapon. She simply stared at them. "Son of Athena, I entrust you with that first step, then. Son of Hades-"
She never got to finish her sentence, because suddenly, the black serpent zipped forward. Nick turned wide-eyed, then quickly pushed himself and Alex out of the path it took. They landed harshly on the ground, swords clattering around them. Nick looked over his shoulder, seeing it taking hold of the goddess' arm with its large fangs. Her scream made his ears ring.
Nick noticed Prue close by the creature and scrambled to his feet. "Prue, we need to stop that monster! Hurry!" This fight had just turned.
Prue heard the goddess' scream in pain when the snake attacked that the sound made her ears ring but she pushed past it as she didn't respond to Nick but sometimes action speaks louder then words with her thrusting the glaive into the creature's scaly hide near its head so surely it would cause it to react plus she used her own weight to make the wound deeper.
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”
Nick leaped after Prue, using his own sword to attack. The snake didn't seem too bothered by their attacks, though Nick noticed its body move. He saw Alex get up out of the corner of his eyes. "Watch out!" the blond called out, making Nick start a little. The snake seemingly tried to swipe them away with the part they were attacking. He wasn't quite sure if a normal snake could just lash out with the further back parts of its body, but this snake sure seemed to be able to. Nick threw himself back to the ground to evade, heart racing. Getting hit by that 'tail' would probably hurt a lot.
The noise the snake made, together with the scream the goddess had given, had drawn the attention of most people by now. Nick could see the black haired Dionysus counselor staring over, still defending against some harpies.
"Prue, you alright?" Nick asked, getting up from the ground.
Prue had been knocked back by the sudden force from the snake as she didn't realize it could move its body -she had expectedly the creature to let go of the goddess and strike at her- she landed somewhat hard against the cave wall which she hissed in pain but she got up to her feet with her ignoring the pain that coursed though her back and her head, "Yeah...now lets cut this snake in half." She replied to her brother before attacking the monster once more.
"Gods! How'd that thing get here?" Nathan muttered under his breath as he wasn't sure if charmspeaking a snake would work- or what ever this creature was plus he didn't have his weapon which he dodged when a harpy tried clawing at him but he managed to actual,y punch her face, Bad move, gah that hurt! he thought to himself as he dodged again but only because a Dionysus camper slammed the same harpy with a mallet.
"Dunno.... Hey guys aim for the thing's eyes!" Chevy yelled over to the campers that were fighting off the giant snake as she figured that would be the weaker sides to it if its scales were too tough.

Nick nodded when he heard Chevy, but decided to follow after his sister when he noticed an arrow zip towards the serpent's eyes. He saw Pascal move towards it, and figured that helping Prue out would be the best course of action. The snake could be as mutated and strong as it wanted, but it still couldn't withstand the attack of many demigods at once. "Alex," Nick said. "Let's all attack together."
Alex nodded, staggering over to them. Nick turned, looking over his shoulder at the demigods still fighting the harpies. "All of you!" he called out loudly. "Try to get past the harpies and over here! If we attack this snake together, we can probably turn it to dust!" His voice echoed off the walls, which was just fine in this case.
Noel ducked through under another harpy, beckoning for Chevy and Pippa to follow. "Let's go kill the snake," he muttered. Maybe afterwards they could finally go back to camp.
"Coming!" Nathan and Chevy said in unison as both campers soon dodged another harpy before coming to the air the campers that were fighting that serpent.
(Sorry if short, gtg)
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”
Alex took a moment to sort his thoughts, then glanced around, blocking out all other sounds. Enough campers seemed to have gathered. If they waited longer, they risked another attack of the snake. He didn't factor the goddess into his thoughts, as it was unlikely that the snake would actually be able to kill her.
Taking a deep breath, he called out, "Now!" and then moved in for his own attack. Of course the parts that were less scaly were easier to attack, but Alex managed to push his sword into a gap between two large scales, keeping hold of his sword as the snake tried to push them away.
Nick attacked next to him, and Alex saw many other campers also move forward. For a moment, he thought that the attack wouldn't be enough, but then the serpent's struggling ceased. Alex almost fell forward when the body turned to ash, barely holding himself upright.
Nick moved past him, towards the goddess. She was still alive as Alex had guessed. He coughed a little, then winced at his dry throat.
"Who ordered you around?" Alex asked the goddess once he was close enough. She just shook her head.
"Saying their names now would only grant them more power. But let me put it like this, a few tyrants have managed to cheat death," she replied eerily, which caused a could shiver to run down Alex's spine. That didn't sound good. "Thank you for... making me see that this was not the way to earn glory. I should leave and overthink some things, I believe."
"Just like that?" Nick replied, not sounding happy. "Aren't you going to tell us more?" He never got an answer, though, as the goddess disappeared in a flash of blinding light, forcing them to look away.
"Guess that's over," Alex said after a moment, swaying a bit. "One of you better catch me, because I'm about to faint."
Nick turned, quickly glancing around to see who was close enough to Alex. "Prue, you think you could manage to?"
"Got him," Prue said as she easily caught the Athena camper who started to sway which she felt some pain course though her back sort of from the brief collision she had with the cave's wall but she wasn't going to let that bother her since they needed to get everyone out from the cave system plus get the injured to the infirmary as she looked over at the others with her seeing that the most injured ones were the kidnapped campers.
Chevy was currently holding the Aphrodite counselor up that it was quite the sight due to her being much smaller in height but she made up for it with strength as the camper was leaning more granted the good thing was that he was still awake though he started to become more dazed, "Let's head back to camp..." the dionysus camper suggested with her figuring that the kidnapped campers needed medical help right away as she wondered if the hades campers could shadow-travel though that would mean they wouldn't be able to see in the dark place.

Nick's eyes lingered on Prue for a second longer, then he decided that she'd be able to manage Alex. He didn't weight that much, at least as far as Nick was aware. "Yeah, let's go back," Nick agreed, sheathing his sword. They had a lot of things to figure out, but for now, it seemed like they were safe.
He smiled a little before he started moving, deciding to take the lead. Of course they could have shadow-travelled, but he didn't want to take any chances; it took a lot of strength, so doing so moments after a battle? Not that good of an idea. Now that the danger was gone, anyway, they could move back towards the camp faster.
With a wave of his hand, he beckoned the other campers to follow him, then disappeared into the tunnel they had come from.
-
Noel followed after Nick, but kept an eye on Chevy. "...how is it possible to cheat death?" he asked her after a few seconds, looking a little confused. Of course he had also heard what the goddess had said. It didn't make much sense, though. How was it possible to escape death? It wasn't like anybody could get a free pass from death itself, right?
Noel shook his head with a sigh, glancing at Nathan. "I think we all need a shower...."
Prue followed after Nick and the other campers out from the cave system with her pretty much carrying Alex which she didn't mind at all, "Well Houdini's done it.... but I really don't know," she said after thinking for a moment as she figured that their father Hades disliked or hated those that cheated death since it was of course the life cycle to all living things.
"Yeah, I agree... ya'll smell real bad." Chevy said awhile her nose scrunched up a little, "even you Nate," she added with a slight tease since she knew well that the aphodrite counselor might enjoy to fight but he often took showers afterwards plus their cabin smelled like a perfume bomb so they pretty much smelled great all the time.
Nathan rolled his eyes a little at Chevy's tease but even he found it somewhat amusing, "I'm taking one for my cabin... but yes a shower sounds nice though I think I'll be heading straight to the infirmary first."
"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”
It didn't take too long until Nick could see the camp coming up again. He slowed down a little, just in case another camper didn't notice that they were coming back and attacked them. Instead, he saw Katie peek out from behind a tree and smiled at her. "Hi," Nick said, waving his hand. "We're back." He smiled as he waited for her reaction, which took a moment.
Katie moved away from the tree, jogging over to them. "It's so great to see you!" she gushed, eye big. "W-we were all real-really worried!"
More footsteps sounded and Nick turned his head, seeing Lucia running towards them. She stopped around a meter away from him, bending over to catch her breath. "You're back!" she said, smiling. "I actually came over here at first to tell Katie and the others that the quest group is back, but then I saw you guys!" She patted her sheathed sword. "We had everything under control!"
Glancing behind Nick, her expression hardened a little. "Let's get Alex and Nate to the infirmary, though."
Nick chuckled. "Sanaa is going to kill Alex once he wakes up. Asher will, too, I think."
Lucia giggled a little, but then shook her head. "Leeet's go!" she said, beckoning them all to follow.
