Rainpaw's fur bristled with alarm. "Er... no, it isn't... I just..." She didn't know how to explain it. "I just.." Her voice trailed off. Then she blurted it out. "I don't want to be a warrior's apprentice anymore! I want to become a medicine cat." She looked shocked that she had said that, ready to be in deep trouble. You could feel fear coming off of her in waves. Nausea rose in the back of her throat. What if she kills me? Or worse-- Exiles me? She had to try hard to keep from running out of the den.

Wavecrash looked up at Pondheart. "Coming!" she said with a smile.
Halfsight: Halfsight looked out the entrance of the elders' den. He saw his daughter, Wavecrash, going out hunting with Pondheart. He bolted out of the elders' den with surprising speed. "Hey! *huff* Wavecrash! *puff* Pondheart! *huff* Are you going without me!?" he asked, with a mischievous smile on his face.
Wavecrash: Wavecrash looked at her father, trying to hide her dismay. He's an elder! He shouldn't be going hunting anymore! she thought. "Yes, actually, we were, Halfsight." she said looking at Halfsight with a piercing gaze. "It's for your protection that you don't come." she added, and turned away, leaving her father there, looking like he was trying to come up with a retort.
Goldenblaze: Brooding gets nothing done. she though, sighing. She absently wondered out into the camp, when she overheard Windstar and Rainpaw talking. "..I want to be a medicine cat!" is all she heard. She almost spat in fury. She truly had no reason to hate Water Elementals, but she did. She tried to contain herself as she walked over to the two cats. She pretended that she heard nothing. "What are you two talking about? I've overheard Wavecrash say you were slacking off, Rainpaw!" she said, a mischievous, devious smirk on her fave

Rainpaw's hackles lifted. Though she was normally shy, she knew that she needed to win Goldenblaze's respect. "What do you have against me?" she asked. "Why don't you penetrate Applepaw with all of these questions?" She realized that her Clan leader was watching, so she let her hackles drift down, but was still glaring daggers at Goldenblaze.

Windstar tried to hide her surprise. As if on cue, Goldenblaze walked over as soon as Rainpaw admitted to wanting to be a medicine cat apprentie. Instead of answering Rainpaw, she addressed the medicine cat. "Goldenblaze, I understand you haven't had an apprentice before," she started. "And I try to pair cats with the same elementals. But here we must make an exception. It sounds like Rainpaw would like to become your apprentice. Do you accept?" Of course, asking was just a courtesy. If Rainpaw had the StarClan-given talent, she would be medicine cat apprentice no matter what Goldenblaze thought of it. The medicine cat couldn't live forever, so no matter what she thinks, an apprentice has to be trained for the position.

Goldenblaze faltered for a second. She thought about arguing further, but decided against it. "Fine, fine!" she said. She shook her head and blew a loud breath. "Rainpaw, we start tomorrow!" she said. She decided she would try her hardest to at least be neutral with her new apprentice instead of hating her.

Rainpaw stopped glaring at Goldenblaze. She looked at Windstar. "Y-You're not angry?" she asked, tilting her head. Then she looked back at Goldenblaze, awaiting her answer anxiously.

Rainpaw exhaled with relief. "Thank you," she mewed. "I'll be up early!" She mewed eagerly, waiting to be dismissed by her leader. She didn't want to leave if her leader wanted her to stay. She dipped her head to her new mentor. She couldn't help but feel fuzzy with excitement. She was finally becoming a medicine cat apprentice!
Applepaw watched her sister, faintly hearing the conversation. She felt relieved that she wasn't in trouble, but also anxious. Now she would have to go through warrior training alone. But then she shook her pelt and gave a little head shake. This is what she's always wanted! She'll be so happy! And plus, I'm strong! I will protect us from all danger, and she can heal me when the danger is gone! Applepaw trotted off, humming gently to herself, pleased.

(O no, Halfsight, Pondheart & Wavecrash have been forgotten. And Wavecrash has lost her apprentice ;-; After this post, I'm not going to be on until this morning ;-
Halfsight: Halfsight "But... You.. Oh forget it. I'm coming, and you can stop me, not even with that sharp tongue of yours!" He shouted at Wavecrash. He ran until he was ahead of Wavecrash, then turned to look at Pondheart.
Wavecrash: She grimaced at her father's determination. "I guess I can't stop you..." she said, and ignored him. So what were we doing... Oh yes! Hunting! Pondheart is coming to, though... she thought. "Hey, Pondheart! You coming?!" she said.

Windstar let out a soft purr. "You should go give Wavecrash the news," she suggested. "Maybe hunt with them one last time before you begin your training. Oh, and go remind Pondheart that he should bring Lightningpaw with them," she added. "He just finished cleaning the elder's den."

"Okay!" she mewed, looking happier than you had ever seen her before. She trotted out of the den to Pondheart. "Pondheart, remember to bring Lightningpaw," she reminded. "He just finished with the elders." Pondheart nodded and looked at her. "You look happier," he remarked, looking at her. "Yes! I get to be the medicine cat apprentice!" She yowled it loud enough for anyone in the camp to hear. She then seemed to shrink and mewed, "But I don't start till' tomorrow. So I can hunt with you guys for one last time," she mewed. Pondheart nodded again, then called, "Lightningpaw! You're coming hunting with us!" He waited a moment. "Get Applepaw first!" he called after him. Rainpaw gave a bounce of joy. Her last hunt would be with her sister!
Applepaw yawned, hearing Pondheart's call. She stood and shook her pelt before trotting over. "I'm already here!" she gave a small bounce. "Thanks for putting me on patrol!"
Pondheart dipped his head. "No problem. Now we just wait for Lightningpaw."

Lightningpaw stalked out of the elder's den, smelling like bile. He glared at Halfsight. "Why do ticks only like old cats who are too lazy to get them out themselves?" he muttered grumpily. Thunder rumbled in the clear sky as he complained.
At the same time, Sparkfire peeked her head out of the warrior's den. "You're going hunting, Applepaw?" She asked. "Meet me outside of the camp afterwards so we can train some." It was hard to stop the growl that rose in her throat when she heard Lightningpaw grumble. Someone needs to knock some sense into that cat, she thought.

"Okay!" Applepaw mewed with a bouncy shake. She looked at Lightningpaw. "You don't have to complain anymore, because last time I checked you were done doing them. Oh, well, if you aren't done, I'll leave you with the mouse bile and the ticks.." She slowly turned and began walking unusually slow towards the rest of the group.

(Wait wait waitt..... Halfsight is leaving to go hunting with Wavecrash, yet he is in the elder's den? Does Wavecrash even get acknowledged as a living being? I am so confused...)
Wavecrash: Wavecrash was staring around camp wildly. "So first it was me and Pondheart, and now Halfsight, and now Lightning paw, Rainpaw and Applepaw!??!?!?" she said out loud. "We missed the patrol, but apparently we made a new one..." she joked to her father.
Halfsight: Halfsight was confused."Am I in the elders den.. nope... so who has ticks in the elders den.. my nest?... um... no rp for me...."
Goldenblaze: Goldenblaze peered out of her den "Wow.. the whole darn CLAN is going hunting... except for me and Windstar. And of course Sparkfire and Fernpool. What are they doing?" she said. She shook her head and sighed

Applepaw began bounding faster. She caught up to the patrol and winked at them, mewing loudly, "I guess he wasn't done with the ticks after all... Well, let's go without him, then!" she yowled, smirking at Lightningpaw.
