She was ready to touch noses with him and then show him around the medicine den. With: RussetpawGrayleaf purred. She already admired this young cat's enthusiasm. Russetpaw seemed like a fun companion already. He even reminded her of herself when she was about to begin her training as a medicine cat. She expected some sort of enthusiasm, since most who chose to train to be a healer would have thought about it a lot. Training as a medicine cat was quite a bit different than training as a warrior, and those who chose the path of a warrior might find being a medicine cat unappealing. You would already to have some sort of passion to decide that being a medicine cat was what you really wanted. The medicine cat admired the extra amount of enthusiasm that she saw in Russetpaw. Today would be Russetpaw's first day as a medicine cat apprentice. Like most apprentices, Russetpaw would probably want to leave camp and see what was beyond it. It was his first official opportunity to explore out there and not be cooped up like in his days as a kit. Grayleaf would be sure to show him around the territory, but first she wanted to give him a quick tour of the inside of her den. Russetpaw might have been inside the den as a patient before, but he probably hadn't seen the storage part of it. That was what she wanted to show him. "I know you are probably eager to leave camp for your first time, and don't worry, I will definitely show you around out there. First, though, I want to give you a quick tour of the back part of my den. Or, our den, as I should say now." Grayleaf meowed at last in response. She knew that touring a den might not sound nearly as exciting as leaving camp for the first time. That was why she wanted to make it quick. Besides, there would be plenty of time later to see it. It was just important to do it quickly now because she actually had some herbs to collect today, and seeing that part of the den would be a good opportunity to show Russetpaw which herbs they'd be looking for when they left. With: SunsetstoneBramblestripe sat and paid close attention to the meeting while it went on. The meeting went by pretty quickly, and Bramblestripe felt happy for Russetpaw. He silently wished the new apprentice the best as he learned the ways of a medicine cat. He also prayed that it would turn out to be what he expected it to. Personally, being a medicine cat hadn't ever crossed the tom's mind, but he knew it was a very important job and respected the young cat's decision to train as Grayleaf's apprentice instead of a warrior's apprentice. Now that the meeting was over, Bramblestripe stood up. He was ready to leave camp now and stretch his legs out more. Perhaps Sunsetstone would be ready to go hunting now. The brown tabby had seated himself next to the friendly she-cat during the meeting, so he didn't have to look too far to ask her. "Sunsetstone, are you ready to go hunting now?" he asked her. Russetpaw Russetpaw purred, sticking his tail up. "Cool!" he mewed. "I can't wait to see what kinda stuff you have. I bet you keep a ton of cool stuff in there! I'm gonna look, and there's gonna be a giant snake that dispenses herbs out of its mouth!" He grinned up at his mentor. ( ✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)

Russetpaw Russetpaw followed his mentor in at her heels. He immediately felt comfortable and safe within the walls of the den. Something about it had always appealed to him, and now he knew what. He looked over at Grayleaf, waiting for her to continue. ( ✞~Spottedleaf ~✞)
