Emma Petellier Emma watched the hunter from a tree, deciding to scout alone today. She didn’t like working with others. She gripped onto a branch in a childish manner as she stood up, silently working her way farther into the tree. After being sure Hrafn didn’t spot her, she slipped on a pair of thermal detecting goggles she kept in her purse. She saw the heat rising from the hunter, and looked around. She could see elk walking nearby, but too large to be taken down by one hunter. She didn’t see anything of a concerning size around using her goggles, so she stuffed them back into her purse. She didn’t want to drain the batteries too quick, because then she’d have to make a makeshift battery. With the thought of the last time she did it, she visibly cringed, making a rustle in the tree. As soon as she made the rustle, she vanished. It was her nature to do so— get in, and get out.

(Spot said elk don't live here, but deer do) Hrafn didn't like a feeling. Intuition was almost always right, but her stomach worms had rendered it almost useless. She heard a rustle, and turned. After only leaves were rustling, she just watched for another fish to slip by. Stabbing into the water, a wriggling fish was in hand. She then made some nicks on its tail, and then tied it onto the bark twine. Tying it to a tree, she then waited for another fish.

Nick’s face lit up a little bit as he was happy that he was going to be taught how to cook, seeing how much they had in terms of stock did make sense. “Looking to see what’s spoiled to throw out, see what is needed in general for supplies and see what the next meal is going to be?” He figured this was something they had to do at least on a weekly basis, from his time with the medics he sometimes watched them go through the herbs that were either well for healing or too far gone to even be used properly.

Hector nodded slowly although the poor was still a little confused on how plants actually worked like that, he wondered what else was out there that looked nice that could actually be harmful. “Miss Holly? Can’t we go out to look for berries? It’s getting cold...” he asked a little as he pulled his coat a little tighter to his body and hoped that the weather would warm up soon.

"Hmm...my favorite memory? I have too many to count, but i guess, it would be the memory of meeting all you and making friends here on the forums. :3" ”One day I’m going to sit down and make a list of all the books that I finished reading....” “It's going to be a long list...”

(I understand, but I'll have to ask spot. ✞~Spottedleaf ~✞, I'm pretty sure elk would live where they are stuck. Deer are more common in forests, but elk in mountainous forests, which is where we are. I understand if you rather not have them because they're literally huge, lol, but yeah that's just biographics I meant to put a deer in the first place but oh well) Emma Petellier Emma watched Hrafn silently, a fish in her hand. She was standing in the tree now, having cut the hunters rope and taken the fish. She admired the hunter's diligence to watching the fish in the stream, but she used her own stealth skills to take the fish from her. Her eyebrow cocked as she watched the huntress, wondering what her reaction would be to the missing fish. However, Emma purposely put herself in a place to be seen. Emma wasn't good at anything other than stealth, so in moments like this, she learned from others using her own natural talents.

Holly nodded. "Are you sure you are okay, Hector? It's going to stay pretty cold while we look." She then walked back to her hut and grabbed a basket made from bark. Just to carry the plants. "If you are sure, Hector, then we can go." She then held the coat that was getting slightly small for her together as she zipped it up, and then walked around. As she found some Indian cucumber, she said, "Remember, Ava, Hector, that the root of this plant is edible. It's okay to eat raw, but it needs to be washed." She then dug up the plant and stripped its root off, and put them into the basket. Coming across juniper trees, she remembered the words of one of her camp counselors. "Juniper. Used to make gin. Please don't try it." The berries were edible, so that was a plus. No poison or anything. "So, I assume you remember that juniper berries are edible, though they aren't very nutritous. They taste like pine nuts and oranges, so they could be used for dessert. You should pick some for food." She plucked enough to fill both her hands from the top and stuck them into her hand. "Potatoes are actually the main food source of the Incas. They are some of the only edible plants that grow up here." She watched for the plant, and looked for any more edible plants. The tribe would need them, with the winter having destroyed a lot of the plants. What did grow here? Hm, well, dandelion leaves were edible, but bitter. Chamomile wasn't really something that helped with hunger. Indian cucumber, the occasional potato, juniper. Seedless yew berries.
Hrafn Bjorn | Hunter | 14 With: Emma(★Echobrook the Reindeer★ ) Hrafn heard a whoosh and saw the fish get taken off of the tree, with her eyes snapping to the sight.. Emma. "Hello, Emma." Her voice had a stoic tone to it, and she watched the scout with a carefully blanked out expression. Why did she take the fish off of the tree?

Emma Petellier Emma leaped down from the tree, tossing the fish at her, not really caring if it hit the young girl or not. "Good job, spotting. However, a bear might get it before you react. You need to be more, how you say, prudente." Growing up speaking both English and French, she was pretty good at English but forgot some words. She had basically mastered the ability to move between a French and English accent, but she broke it when she forgot words. She didn't care right now due to her situation. Due to her past, she knew a lot of languages, but none of the other ones were as easy for her. She crouched by the water, watching the fish swim past. "Bears are hungry creatures, like us. They will take fish for meal, and you too."

Hrafn Bjorn | Hunter | 14 "I had stomach parasites, Emma. My reflexes are stil a little dull. I haven't hunted in at least a month." Her knife flashed with a flick of her wrist. Irritation shone through the guise of the blank person. Watching the scout with blank silver an blue eyes, she waited for a response from the skillful knife wielder. Like herself.

Emma Petellier Emma rolled her eyes. “Calmez-vous, Hrafn. You’re what, fourteen? Tell me your training and I’ll listen to you. However, sometimes you have to admit when you’re not best. Lâcheté , or Cowardice for you, is what we’d call it back in the organization. It’s where you don’t admit to the skills you need to work on and insist you are best.” She paused for a minute. “I see myself in you.” She grabbed a stick, and swished the water around her feet. “However, if you continue with your lâcheté, I won’t help you refine your skills, as you don’t believe you need them.” Her left hand went inside of her trench coat. “You have to remember others origins, because some have been trained longer than you have.” In less than a second, Emma stood up and threw three precise knifes that skimmed the young girls body. She looked at the tree that bore the knives now, circling where her head would be. “Now, tell me, jeune fille , would you like to refine your skills, or do you think you’re too good for me?” Emma wouldn’t of given the girl time of day, but she knew the girl wouldn’t flinch at the knives around her face. That, and she could see the stubbornness in her character. If she couldn’t learn she needed help, as all people did, then any effort with the girl was futile.

(I just see the possiblities and I cringe at some.) Hrafn Bjorn | Hunter | 14 Hrafn just tugged the knives and then said, "Didn't I just say I had stomach aprasites and I'm not at my best?" She then handed the knives to the scout and continued, "To be a leiotogi is to be peaceful when there isn't anything wrong in the group, but aggressive when others are. Organization are something that I was always wary of. Who knows, maybe someone tried to kill you. I've had many assassination attempts, but more and more piled onto me. First I got one swho had something against my sister. Then that person got another, and both, and it grew and grew until I had to change my identity. No longer was the peaceful hunter. I turned ruthless with assassins, killing them. I will think about this, until noon. "When the sun is at its peak, I will be standing here to give you my verdict. Don't be one of the failure assasins, to me especially. I won't show mercy, even as my tribemate." She then turned, slipping the fish out of Emma's grasp, and walking back to camp. That was certainly strange. If only a himneskur day could happen to her. What did Emma want? To make her into a spy?

Noah Samuels He had watched Emma and Hrafn from the trees, listening silently. Turning his attention back on food, he crouched and listened. Nothing. He waited several minutes before there was a crack of a leaf. On the ground behind a bush was a tiny squirrel nibbling on its meal, while Noah thought of his own meal. He still had the knife on him so he held it carefully and threw it. The squirrel was his now.
Ava Samuels She collected some juniper smiling. She liked juniper berries, so she quickly popped one in her mouth.

Kassandra hadn't done too much with her day so far, other than giving instructions. Not that it was unusual. She was leader, after all, and providing instructions was part of being a leader. She was considering getting out of camp for a little bit when snow started to fall. Snow? But it's supposed spring! she thought to herself. It was only early spring, but the snow still caught her off guard. What would a delayed spring do for the tribe? The possibilities were endless. Shivering, Kass went back to her hut to get a warmer jacket. Once she put it on, she went back outside.

Sophia Lopez | 28 | Medic | Camp | With: Hrafn Bjorn ( @aetherwyvern66 ), (Oh ok, and I think some people literally don't worry but sleep late- aka my friend who stays up gaming and usually sleeps less than 5 hours and is still functional?? I was very surprised but apparently he's been doing it for 5 years ) "I.. oh.. okay." She must be really into hunting.
Woah... is it snowing?

Derrick Bridge | 24 | Cook | Camp | With: Nicholas "Nick" Prince ( Lily~Myth ), Benjamin "Benji" Torres ( ★Echobrook the Reindeer★ ) His eyes lit up, impressed that the child was catching on. "Usually we try to cook everything before that happens, but yes, if it does spoil we need to throw it out, we also on the lookout on the few that were already left for quite a while, after all the older it is the sooner we need to cook it- well without you know, ruining the taste altogether." He looked over to Benji again. "What do you say? What meal are you looking forward today? Rabbit? Chicken?"
But something white floated down, at first he thought it was some fluff from some unknown flora, but more fell, one landing on his hand and he quickly realized that it was cold, watery, icy.
