While patiently waiting for everyone to come to the center, Kassandra contemplated on what she would say. She knew that there were actually two reasons for calling this meaning. The first reason was Holly's punishment, and the other reason was to discuss the unexpected snowstorm. Figuring it was easier to start with Holly and go from there, Kassandra knew what she had to say. Finally, after everyone gathered for the meeting, Kassandra began the announcements. "I have called everyone here because of the events that took place earlier today, when Ava was lost. We can't have this kind of thing happening again. Therefore, until Holly can be trusted, she is no longer allowed to take the kids anywhere without having another tribemate with her," Kassandra announced. She hoped that everyone understood the reasoning behind this punishment. Not that it mattered if they didn't, since her word was final against everything else.

Hagon leaned on one of the shelters, listening as the tribe leader spoke. Dang. He thought. Hopefully she proves it soon because that's embarrassing.

Hero also listened. Oh dear. She thought. I'd hate for Kass to tell me that. I hope she doesn't mind me calling her Kass.. What if she gets mad? No. She wouldn't get THAT mad.

Noah nodded understandingly. Since he and Hafrn were the only hunters he would be able to take care of Ava much, but perhaps the scouts would since there were quite a few.

Hrafn looked at Holly with a gaze no one but Kraka and Holly could read. You will prove yourself. Just like I did. The hunter retreated into her hut to grab a knife carved from stone. A sheath woven from bark was its cover. Holly would have some defence now. The hunter remembered her name. Anna. Though she knew that she was as varkar as possible, it was known by her family. Who named their child Raven? For that was the meaning of hrafn. Raven. Holly once took on the name Dufa, for her dove brown eyes. Kraka meant crow. No one named children after birds. No one anymore. She watched Kassandra with a piercing look. Many people were unnerved by this simple trick.

Holly felt as if a black hole had formed in her stomach. To not go out alone would be difficult, but she needed supervision? Her eyes lost the defiant spark she stil carried from childhood. Holly, who had once been called Dufa, wasn't Holly. She was an empty husk, but she kept a strong appearance. It was as if she was a mussel and this news was a dog snail. Her insides(TRIGGER WARNING) were being made into soup, but her shell was just the same.(END OF WARNING) It didn't feel like she had her insides liquefied, though. The feeling was gnawing slowly and painfully at her heart.

Emma jumped a little bit at hearing the child speak, but calmed down when she realized she’s probably been awake for a while. She watched the meeting from the door, not really caring to leave Ava alone. “Yes, I understand that. He’s... very sociable.” She rested her elbow on the chair, and propped her face on her hand. “Ava, would you like French lessons? Je peux dire que vous êtes un apprenant rapide, et il ne fait pas de mal à essayer. C'est comme le piano, quand tu essayes les touches d'abord, ce sera dur, mais je crois en toi.” She spoke, switching over to French without realizing it. She was very focused on the meeting, watching Hollys general reaction to the punishment. She wondered if Ava had heard what Kass said.

Benji Torres
Benji rubbed his arm while Kass spoke, letting his hands flow through the bear coat. He suddenly wondered why he had packed so differently than everyone else, if they were all going to the same place. Where... where was he heading before the crash? His thoughts became blurry, before he snapped back into reality. “We recommend another caretaker to go with her, but she will have time to prove herself.” He said in a deeper tone, obviously uncomfortable.
Desperate to change the subject, Benji stood up straight and put his arms over the fire while speaking. “We gotta focus on this snowstorm. I’ll have Eliza and Kraka work on re-enforcing the huts, but I’m guessing we will need materials. Kraka, what do you think you’ll need in order to keep our huts from collapsing?”

Valerie looked surprised at the announcement. Just what had happened while they'd been gone? She hadn't felt like it had been that long, but they had missed all of it happening.

Either way, she trusted Kass' decision on this, even while feeling pity for Holly. Public announcements like that were never fun if it put some kind of negative light onto you. Still, she wasn't worried. She was sure that Holly would prove herself worthy soon enough

Ava giggled. "Noah's not sociable, he barely ever talks except when it's about me or something like that." The girl became quiet as Emma started speaking French. Because of her curiosity she said, "I wanna learn French! That way you and I can randomly start speaking and no one will know what we're saying." Ava smiled in the bed.

(I can speak some Japanese and I do say some Japanese words without realising)

Kraka nodded, saying, "Maybe something like support beams, and for helping the snow not kill the roofs maybe pine boughs." Then she kept on trying to weave some pine boughs into some makeshift roof. It hurt her hands and she wasn't very good, but after a bit she put one onto Holly's hut. Ava and Hector would need it. Then grabbing wood and helping Eliza with the task of reinforcing the huts,

"Alright, we can do that," Kassandra said after Kraka. "If the scouts can help gather pine branches and bring them back here, then that would be a big help. Hunters, go ahead and try to hunt for food so we can have dinner later on. The rest of us, unless it's necessary, should stay in camp. Also, everyone should make sure to be back in camp by sunset. No one needs to be out after dark in this snowstorm," Kassandra concluded. She hoped she made herself clear with all the instructions.

Hrafn looked at Kraka. A gentle smile was on the hunter's face. No one but Holly and Kraka saw it, as the glow was hidden inside her eyes. Then nodding at Kassandra, she headed out to find some meat. If Noah was there, she could try for something like an elk. That would be an ultimate catch. Or a deer. Either was fine. She then crouched near the stream again, with her shadow on the bank behind her. A rabbit came near, and with Hrafn's camoflauged hunting outfit, it didn't notice her until her knife was at its throat. She cut and then watched for fish.

Noah grabbed his spear and made sure his knife was still in his shoes. Ava would be fine by herself for a while, and the tribe needed more food. He had already left the fish and squirrel near the cooks place, but there needed to be more than a couple of catches. If he caught a large bird or even a deer, the tribe would be well fed. Because of the fresh snow he would be able to track prey down easier and follow their footsteps. He left camp with just a nod to Kass.

Hrafn found some faint tracks that looked like a deer's. Following them, she saw a buck that looked ready to kill. Maybe not that herd. She returned and then loked. A bird passed overhead, and she threw her blade into the stomach. It dropped and she finished the job. Putting it next to the rabbit, she looked for Noah. The buck may be able to be killed with his spear.

Hero nodded and turned to Valerie. "You want to look together? Less of a chance of us both getting lost." She joked. "Mostly me." She had considered the other girl her friend, but didn't want for her to hate her if she called her a friend. Human relationships are so complicated. She thought. And I'm a human.
